Innovate LC-1, LM-1 questions

I've read the information on their website many times, but I am a bit confused. I would like to log RPM/AFM data, not too worried about the other sensors. I realize that you can do it with the LM-1 using the LMA-2 RPM converter. This is all great and all, but can you use the LMA-2 RPM converter with the LC-1. The LC-1 is a bit cheaper, and I don't need the LM-1 handheld since I will be doing everything with my laptop. Also, does anyone know if the datalogging software that comes with the LC-1 is the same as the LM-1?

Basically, I all need to know, is can I use the LC-1 and datalog the AFMS and RPMS with it? I am going to be using an NEO to make my adjustments.

Thanks in advance

I dont think the lma2 works with the lc1

as for being torn between the lc1 and lm1

lc1 doesnt have a gauge (obviously) so if your just doing pclogging, the lc1 will do fine
the lm1 however will save logs on itsself, and you have the option of hooking up an lma3 or lma2 to it to log addiotnal sorces

and the logworks software works with all the innovate hardware (maby not the RAD, but this isnt a 4wheeling forum anways)

Sorry to jack the OP's thread.

I've got an 89 vert with a S5 JDM 13B swapped into it, N370 ECU, pin swapped N/A harness, FD fuel pump, RB 3" exhaust with a presilencer, an FCD, Apexi cone filter and a custom TID about 3-4" diameter.

In the next couple weeks I'll be upgrading the secondaries to 800cc injectors, replacing the N/A engine harness with a USDM TII, getting the injectors cleaned, replacing fuel lines, vacuum hoses, regrounding the car, and adding a wideband. Oh and I'm researching porting the wastegate and it's benefits.

I haven't decided what to do for engine or fuel management. I'm in the process of educating myself

I'm considering building a Megasquirt, SAFC II or Neo, FCON, etc. Is the LM-1 going to be redundant if I go MS? I still need to learn more about MS features and logging software, but it seems like the LM-1 with an RPM cable would be overkill with a MS.

Any feedback would be awesome.

I dont think the innovate package would be redundent with ms at all, howver i think i would just get an lm1 or lc1 because if you check http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/3pp.php you will see that there is a plugin thats included with logworks that allows you to log all ms information in logworks (aslong as you use something from innnnovate motorsports with it such as an lc1 )

Thanks for pointing someone new in the right direction. I'm new to turbos and performance so when I start reading I get a bit of sensory overload when I try to decipher.
