Haltech E-8 and F-10!!!!!1
Haltech is soon to release two new ecu's on the market in the form of the E-8 and F-10. The E-8 is supposed to the best ever from them and features on-board wide band datalogging capability and self mapping and corection features. It's also supposed to be able to run the ignition set-up for the 3-rotor. I beleive the F-10 is an updated version of the F-9 fuel only ECU.

Excellent! Do you think that you can convince Haltach to make them compatible with a laptop made during this century? Also, do you know if the E-8 will have on-board boost control?

When it come to getting an honest answer about release dates from those guys it's the worse. The documentation they sent to the shop did say new for 2002!
Yes it's supposed to self map like the speed-pro and motec.
BTW. To upgrade my present ECU with the 5-bar map sensor and software is going to cost me $400 and the guys at Haltech can't even give me an idea as too how long it's going to take to do so!

WOW, thats awsome!!!!!! I've been waiting for a company to get us a self mapping computer!!!!!! Its very hard for me to get a good tune with no dyno access. This self mapping computer with a wideband is what I need. Hopefully it wont be quite as expensive as a Motec.
I know a few V8 guys that use the SpeedPro.....will the SpeedPro work with a RX7??? Is it compatible with the rotary? I assumed it wouldnt work since I've never heard anyone talk about it before.
Thanks,
STEPHEN

I thought I could have used it for fuel control only but I spoked to them yesterday and they have discontinued their staging ECU so that's out of the question now! You could probably run 4 injectors in sequential mode and that should work.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but this was discussed on the Haltech list, and here is some info that may pertain to the topic. These are emails from Matt (Hitman). I am sure that you all know who he is.
"To actually answer the original email, the E8 was a model that Haltech
worked on many many years ago, and was going to be a high end unit. The
thing is it never saw the light of day and the E8 was canned.

"There is no E8 that I have seen. Work of course continues on new products
all the time but I would not be too anxious waiting for a new ECU. If
any of you remember back when it was asked what features you would want on
your dream ECU.... Haltech was listening.
