E-manage Ultimate
This system is supposed to blow the old emanage as well as other piggy-back systems out of the water.

yeah it would be great if thier was a clear and definative way to get the manage to work with CAS 13B's.. iv'e seen bits and pc's. of E manage hook up efforts but never a write up from someone who's gotten the leading and trailing plugs to work with the emamage... If you know of a write up or site that has done a full integration of the emanage then put it up, I'd love to see it.

well, since the system just became available, i dont think your going to see any rotary guys running it for a while. the old emanage didnt have the multiple inputs for fuel and timing like the ultimate does. but be certain, that if i ever get my car running, thats what im going to use. with my price tag for the whole deal being under $600 even with the support tool and serial cable, its a great piggyback.

i can't believe some of the features that Greddy is stating it has.
things like auto-AFR mode, temp correction maps, load correction, full datalogging, and a bunch of other features surpass the abilities of even some standalones.
at this point the word "piggyback" really becomes just a technicality...
one thing that i'm still wondering about is how it handles the stock MAF sensor on the FCs.
there is something on the Greddy site mentioned about a Mazda "hot wire" adapter, so possibly it allows use of a hot wire type MAF instead of the flap/cone?
can't seem to find an answer though....

really? wow, that's quite interesting to hear...
right now i'm trying to decide between a Megasquirt and this new e-manage.
the e-manage actually looks like it has more functionality, however the MS is a "real" standalone and is cheaper, and i like the fact that it is "open source". of course you do have to build it yourself, but i'm fine with that...

I had an E-manage with all the extras on my old FC. The timing control did work fine, trailing and leading, but you couldn't adjust separate trailing and leading maps. That might be different with the new E-manage Ultimate.
The old E-manage blue handled the FC's airflow meter no sweat. Worked perfectly fine. Basically, there was no feature of the blue E-manage that didn't work on the FC.
The new E-manage will supposedly let you ditch the airflow meter, but there's VERY little info about that at this point.
Here's a ton of info on the new E-manage -

"Front Panel
Toggle Switch (Dip) - 2 independent setting can now be stored and accessed via the “Toggle Switch.” 2 separate maps for the “Injection Adjustment Map” and the “Ignition Map.” (For Rotary engines, 2 separate “Primary and Secondary Injector Maps” and “Leading & Trailing Ignition Maps.”) i.e. one program for “street” and one for “race track”. "
Interesting, just wondering if it will control upgrade injectors
