Anyone ever hear of this ECU?

The Engine Management Systems (EMS) Stinger? I've been looking at it for a while and I've talked to them about verious concerns I've had. They are extremly helpful and I hope within the next month I'll have their Stinger in my Miata.

And at only ~$660 buck its the cheapest by far! Looks very powerful and I've been playing with the software and the softwre is very nice and it can datalog all the ecu functions!

Your link isn't working. Is it the same as this EMS link?
http://www.enginemanagementsystem.com/

What do you mean by "powerful"?

Do you have any stats on the Stinger, such as processor speed, channels, injector resolution, timing resolution, number of load and rpm bands, number of ignition and injector outputs, number of aux outputs/inputs, correction maps, or other functions like boost control, rev limiter, turbo timer, electric fan control, etc. ?

The web site I listed above mentioned that the Stinger 2 has just been released. Are you looking at the Stinger 1 or Stinger 2?

From my understading the fuel and ignition maps are
11x25. Injector resolution is 1/10th of a sec. and as far as ignition is 1/10th of a degree. You can run 4 injectors or you can run 2 staged sets of injectors. Only 2 outputs as in idle control, fan control, boost control, etc. Correction maps based on intake temp and coolent temp. 2 step rev-limiter, soft touch rev-limiter. I don't think the Stinger1 is much diffrent from Stinger2 over then maybe some software updates.

they are a australian made ecu,

dont have a very good rap with the rotor guys, very few cars use them, only one of the top racers use it, a few 4cyl blokes use them,
a mate has a one on his rotor and it is always suffereing from little problems, ie ignation not working properly etc.

11x25 is OK resolution, but those are some really strange numbers. Usually the numbers work out to a typical processor type (ie divisible by 8). For example, the Wolf3DV3 is 8x16 = 128, the Wolf3DV4 is 16x128 = 2048, and the Haltech E11 is 32x32 = 1024. What kind of processor is 11x25 = 275?

The injector resolution can't be right, either. Do you think it's 0.1 mS? If it is, that's not very good, but I guess it would work. For comparison, the Microtech LT has 0.06 mS resolution, and the Wolf3DV4 and Haltech E11 have 0.004 mS resolution.

Based on the information so far, you may be better off paying an extra $100 for a Microtech LT8 and hand controller.

Okay here's some updated info

11 points x 24 rpm points (every 500 rpm from 0-12000 rpm)

Injector controlled at .01 ms no .1 ms

they have also added a support forum to their web site but no one seems to post in there, I hope some of you will join and increase the traffic.
