Any TEC 3's
#51
I have given some thoughts to getting a wolf3d if the Haltech E6X doesn't work out for me. My FD will get TEC3R when I get around to start building it. Even though I have spent close to 8k in the FC since I bought the car back in Dec, I have a hard time justifing 2k+ in engine management for my "cheap project" (which was supposed to be 3-4k build up using parts that I had a laying around, which some how I ended up blowing the that budget turning it into major build.)
I some times I really hate cars.

I've got one I'm installing on my project... Not much to say though since the motor isn't even together yet. I do have a question though about the knock sensing on the TEC3, does it retard all channels equally or will it retard just the leading? Has anyone had much experience with that feature?

That is tight! I also just found out that the Tec3 is capable of running 3 stages of injection. It's running 9 injectors in the 3 rotor in this link. Anyone know a good place to buy one of these ecus for a decent price?

What kind of wires you suggest to use with the TEC3r ?
Im planning to use Magnecor KV 8.5 in my engine ....

The name brand doesn't matter, only the resistance does. Make sure it's above 5K (at least on a TEC 1, TEC 3 uses nearly identical coils so will be same parameters). Plus you need to run as short of wires as possible from coils to plugs so custom made wires are generally a better alternative.

I have just learned something about the TEC3R. My laptop crashed and fried the hard drive. You cant UPLOAD the map that is programmed into the TEC. Is there anybody willing to send me there map(TEC3R only) if you have a single turbo 13B. I have a T-78, large street ported pineapple motor with 3mm ceramic apex seals. It would be nice to just have a similar map and I can work it from there. Lession to those that dont know already, MAKE SURE THAT YOU BACK UP YOU MAPS!!!!!!
