Where did I "down" a DIY'er? I only take issue with the DIY'ers that call our shop looking to have their hands held, which makes them not very good DIY'ers, right? Then they want to argue about the information being given to them. DIY = Do It Yourself, not call a shop and ask for detailed instructions on how to build and tune their car.
I could not possibly care less if he wants to tune his own car, if he knows how to tune then why bother calling our shop a few months ago looking to schedule tuning? So again how is it that this guy has an issue with our shop? Since we never worked on the car.
I will get involved in ANY thread that I feel like, where someone is talking crap about our shop. It does not matter what section it is in.
Trust me we are completely booked through June and into July.

Just remember everyone the rotary community is really small, and if we want to keep the magic-triangle's alive then we all need to all get along.
Banzai is a legit company; Summit's car is a legit build.
No need to put companies/people down or base opinions/thoughts on companies/people that you have never dealt with first hand.
Keep the spirit alive, everyone be friends.....this isn't zilvia.

Chris @ Banzai "Racing?" I never said my car was at your shop while I owned it and you can believe me when I say you are one of the last people I would ask advice from when building a drift car. "Drifting isn't really my thing" Is what you told me when I was at your shop picking up my diff and trans braces (which are great by the way). That day you asked me who tuned Tony's car. After I told you you said "Oh Steve Kan helps him blow up his motors" I took this as you being very unprofessional. After this I still said you were " Chris is a good guy" here https://www.rx7club.com/drifting-226/summit-heart-stuff-917510/page7/ despite your awkward pokes at my good friend. Steve tunes conservatively then Tony adjust it to make more power. He knows the risks and its HIS car. I just feel like you acted very childish when making these remarks.
As for the email and the call about you tuning my car that was merely plan B in case my first choice was busy with homework or class. See despite me being a factory worker/ graphic designer I still like to keep Intellectual people around me. Tony is going to school for another degree in Indy where he works with ACTUAL race teams so he's very busy.
Chris you say you NEVER tuned my car then you throw in while I owned it. I asked you about this when I was at your shop and you acted very weird about it. Dominick the PO never had a commander and he gave me his originally bill of sale when HE bought the car, along with motor paper work and even spark plug receipts. So either your so called friend (I've also know Dom for years we went to college together) and the nicest person on the planet is lying or you have something to hide. The only reason I considered you for tuning was that the car had such a good season last year motor wise and because I'm a union worker and I like my money to stay local if possible. I guess tho since you didn't tune it I'm gonna have to ask Dom who his mystery tuner is since he's so secretive but I'm sure you know that also.
NOW for the calls. The first call Tony and myself where on speaker phone in my garage. We asked Elaine if you sold maps (knowing that you didn't). Questions went back and forth with Elaine asking most of the questions. Her main concern was who was tuning the car rather than asking us what we needed. We just wanted to see if we could PAY to use your Datalogit for a FEE at YOUR shop. After being cut off multiple times and lectured about tuning I finally just hung up. I know a lost cause. I was willing to PAY you $100 for 30 minutes with the Datalogit we didn't need your advice on tuning or your help just the TOOL that I overlooked. We needed it to make the GM 3Bar read properly since you cant do that with just the commander. I DO NOT EXPECT ANYTHING FOR FREE.
The second CALL I just asked Elaine if you sold what I needed since the conversation route didn't work. You didn't have a stock map sensor, Apexi 3bar, or DatalogIt for sale. Not a big deal. I only called back because driving is more important to me than my pride. Chris you know something about swallowing your pride. I remember a few years ago you drove to Ft Wayne to buy a bunch of rotary motors off of Chuck even tho you hated his guts.
In CONCLUSION I have no hard feelings and I had help sourcing the part I needed and found it in Fort Wayne. Maybe I've been drifting with my friends for to long and forgot everyone isn't so willing to help (or get payed) each other out. If I don't get a Christmas Card from you this year I totally understand. May you use this as a learning experience. Feel free to PM me. Good luck to you and your business
-Derek Bianski I'm not here to make up lies or to kiss peoples asses, Just here to give people my perspective. If you disagree I'm ok with that everyone is entitled to their opinion.

You just can't get anything right can you?
I said I have never seen Tony's car I just knew that he took it out to St. Louis for tuning sessions with Steve and that he seems to have trouble since I have read that he blows his engine frequently.
We build ACTUAL purpose built race cars for ACTUAL racers so get with the program. One of our cars just won the 2011 Kryder Regional Championship and the Steel Cities Championship. http://www.banzai-racing.com/2008_cu...keefer_smp.htm
Do I have to quote myself? Are you not capable of reading and remembering what was said just a few post back. I said I WORKED on the car for the previous owner, never said I tuned it. I have nothing to hide, he brought me a car in a thousand pieces after his painter friend disappeared, I put it back together for him.
So you were rude on the phone, hung up then called back and she was still helpful. Then you come on this forum and call her a "****", do you not have any common sense at all? You have an attitude with us because you are not capable of identifying the tuning equipment you will need to tune your own car. WE DO NOT SELL BASE MAPS, IS THAT CLEAR?
I don't hate Chuck, I barely know him. He has been to our shop for a couple BBQ's and I bought some cores from him, that is it.
You OBVIOUSLY do have hard feelings otherwise these posts would not exist. I have a some advise ...Get over it!! We did not work on your car and now we will never allow you to bring it to our shop. Congratulations on burning a bridge.
Now I am done with this thread, unless of course you would like to try to spew some more crap on the forum....

What side of the story? We do not have a Rent-A-Tool program, go to Autozone. It is not like the DL works without the proper software, which means that you would have needed to "borrow" my laptop also. Then you would have complained when you blew your engine up on an UNTUNED map.
You called our shop, then threw a hissy fit because you didn't get what you wanted. Elaine was nice enough to answer the phone after you hung up on her and you still acted like a dick. Then ran to the forum to complain.
Do you have something else to say? THAT is the story.

So what I'm getting Banzai racing is good for parts but unwilling to help unless you are in their racing program. Also bansai could give two ***** about the rx7 tunning scene as a whole of course unless you pay them?

I said I was done unless he had more crap to spew, which apparently he did.
FDamemiya- We have cars on the dyno every week tuning them, and always have no less than 8-10 rx-7s in our shop at all times from all over the US for rebuilds, 20B conversions, etc... So short and sweet, we are involved in the tuning scene.
Problem is that there are certain DIYers that just have an "Us vs. Them" attitude when it comes to professional tuning shops. That is loud a clear in this thread.
Take a look at my post all over this forum giving out free help to people that actually appreciate it.

free help like the help offered in this thread.
im not going to provide proof for two reasons.
1. i dont have time to sift through hundereds of posts where banzai is mentioned
2. i dont care enough to do so.

Quit acting like you have a dog in this fight. If I knew what your real name was I would put you on our "Banned List" just for fun.
