Is It Pink or Rasta Chameleon????
gonna lay some more paint down, and i made a new color *Is It Pink*. its 10 grams violet pearl that has some tiny blue flake, and 10 grams Pink flake that has a veryyyy magenta glare to it when in direct sunlight, soooo vibrant. that can be sprayed over my current paint job, which is the perfect basecoat.
it will look very light purple with visible pink flake then flop to pink in sunlight. sooo sexy
-OR-
10 grams of a very huge chameleon flake. its Red, then Gold, then ******* Green, depending on the position of the light source.
i sprayed a turbo with my current basecoat (***** Grape Pearl) then 3 coats of the chameleon. the blurple basecoat looks great against the red gold and green.
the chameleon isnt tooo expensive, but might be harder to match when i have to repair Aero or whatever. its $100 a quart. one quart will cover just fine
the pink flake and violet pearl cost about $75 for 2 oz. one of each. i get more product with this and it will look great at night, the chameleon only shows in light.
so Violet/Pink, or Rasta Chameleon???????????????????

****, flip a coin.
Both will look good.
As far as paint matching aero, you can have that headache all to yourself.
I'm wrapping my **** in vinyl for that exact reason. Was going to paint but murphy's law follows me around and i'd like to be prepared.

yea ross's **** looks way different. the color change of the chameleon isnt going to be on any particular body part. the front of the car would be red, or green or gold a lil change of light will switch everything.
i love the purple/ pink its soooo sick. i already gave my brother the quart of the chameleon so that made up my mind. looks like youll see both colors very soon
oh yeah my brother was looking at some way negative offset Emitz (the punk mine )... anyone seen them on a FC???

vinyl... thats gonna take you 10x longer and will look horrible. how is the vinyl going on the BN??? thats a headache right there.
painting its not rocket science, two coats of pearl on the body, two coats on repaired aero.

well if you use the chameleonit will be easier to match repairs because it will always be the same, but will the complex mixture of pearls you have in the other color you just have to take note of the exact mixture you make up and record the exact amount of coats and procedure you used to get the result and effect, i wuld use the pearl cause that chromeillusion aka chameleon is ugly but to ones his own, but if you just take proper notes of what you did it should be all good. if you have any more question about painting ask me i do it for a living, also thanks for helping wit my wheel fit-a-ment question i had

What is it with todays generation? Guys not only like the color pink, but are they so darn proud of it. I do not understand when guys paint their cars in the most flamboyent of colors. Is this something that people say oh im gonna put tears blood and sweat into my car, and when it finally comes to paint it you want to paint it what color? Yikes!

We need more glow in the dark cars out there.....
Purple and pink is such a hard color to PICK when your personality doesn't match it. I'm a team burst fanboy. I can't pull off that level of rad and get away with it though.
Zenki, definately check out the ghost pearls. It's expensive but **** it. It looks cool.

Haha, would be way more cool to actually see chicks out there along with the guys drifting in THEIR cool pink car, but even today it is still rare to see more girls into motorsports... seems like you are more likely to find a dude wearing his girlfriends tight pants wanting to drift a pink ride... stop the trend!!! RASTA ALL THE WAY!

im not a *** and im not painting this **** purple to fall into a fad or look like some **** ive seen on the internet in JDM magazines.
im painting it purple cuz i want that **** to stand out at night events. i added a red flake and pigment to the purple pearl and the out come in direct sunlight is a dark pink. looks amazing.
i plan on painting my car various times this year so this is just practice. never done a tri coat with pearls and **** on a car yet. just practicing

*popcorn*
You want to stand out at night events? Have your passenger shoot bottle rockets off INSIDE the car right before you initiate. The crowd will love that ****. Track officials will probably ban you for life...... Bad idea.

Of course i know what the **** im talking about. I mixed the paint myself so i know exactly what the out come is. It is visibly purple light or no light. pink only shows in light, either way it changes my basecoat that i currently have, which looks very black but is purple.
im getting some more of the basecoat that i have to spray some test panels. im gonna tape it off in sections and use various basecoats like Silver, red and maybe maroon.
the possibilities of colors are endless with tri coats

Jus be careful cause mixing in heavy metallic can make your color muddy and also some pearls can do this also to some colors. Also remember the darker the color the faster the pearl is gonna change it which means fewer coats would be required and it's the opposite for light bases. My suggestion is if you want crazy color flop, then go which a pearl that's manufactured to do so, like the kameleon pigments, but I also use house of color pearls and check out kustomshop.com I also order a lot of **** from them, with these custom paint companies their pearls are
made to be used with many coats and custom applications Jus check it out

Ha. I can't even decied what color yet.
I went to the shop today to buy a pint and walked out with $250 easily in product. I paid $50. One of the quarts I got as a freebie was a dope *** purple with blue pearl. Flops sooooo sick. I ended up pouring that into the Is It Pink (which is dbc 500 and 20 grams pearl) quart. Came out soo sick and made a half gallon too.
Ill be done soon. Need a full tune and overfenders first
