engine mounts is where they were used first.

If built properly, longer than an OEM mount, and from my experience, longer than some poly mounts.

Ever fart and have it smell like burnt popcorn and vomit?

That's the worst.

No, the worst is when your farts smell like vaseline and shame. Burnt popcorn and vomit means, at some point, you had a good time.

So took my car out for some rainy fun, I'm super rusty since I haven't driven the car all winter. But when I spun I could hear rubbing on the front fenders when the front tires would hit lock (ie spinning). This has happened a few times before, tires are 225/45/17 on an 17x8 +35, about -2 degrees of camber and the tires are pretty much new. Secret Element Rods are the only mod I have to my steering and the front spring rate is 6k. So my question is what do I need to fix to not have this issue? Stiffer springs? Stiffer dampening? Adjust the height (front is lower than the rear, by a little bit)?

Just roll the inside lip up so it can rub without catching, and then just let it rub. Smoke streams off the front fender are sweet.

6k front is pretty soft though. 8k front 6k rear works pretty good.

I tried that but it keeps catching and flaring the metal out (paints all cracked and beat to **** on that lip too, starting to rust >_<), I wish I had my tools up here at school. And I've been thinking of going to 8/6 for a long time. If that'll fix it then it'll move up on my priorities.

Does anyone know if there are OEM fenders that are like FRP or carbon?

Maybe after these tires are used up. I was thinking of going to a 17x9 (with spacer) all around and just using the same tires.

As for spacers, where's the best place to get them? Looking for 15mm maybe 20mm.

get 9.5 or 10

i bought some spacers on zilvia for like 50 bucks. you'd be surprised how much spacer you can fit...

i brought my vsxx to a -12 offset on stock fenders with 37mm spacers

Im just looking at a wider version of the wheels I currently have. They're like under 200 for a pair. 17x9 +35, so 20mm spacer = +15. Plenty of room to clear, pretty flush too.

I tried flexing my fenders at first and it still sucked dick.

Now, i have like 2 bolts holding my fenders on. They rattle like **** when i drive but ya'll need to borrow one from the book of eli....um....Ilia, i mean and do the hydraulic front end. **** works. You can run over all kinds of ****, hit lock and the fenders just nicely move out of the way for your wheels/tires. Good times.

Upgrading to slice-n-dice Hibino fenders whenever i get more spacer and get my lower ball joints extended.

Fiberglass is lame.

It's all about carbon/kevlar.

Bulletproof fenders, for those gangstarr drive-by moments.

POP POP POP!

Nah. I'm so ghetto i'll just throw some ugly *** **** together so everyone continues their hate quest on my ***. **** building cars to please other people. Build em to **** everyone off.

I haven't even started on any of this yet but i am eager to see what zero camber, a hydro handbrake and ss braided lines with halfway decent pads on slotted/drilled fronts feels like. Was going to turn my back on my welded but i'm ***** deep in getting some turbo/fuel bits for my vg so i put a bunch of **** on hold. Hx35 v6 is going to go so ******* hard. Flap disks are on their way. Picked out a dremel. Just trying to offload two turbos, two intercoolers and two bov's so i can fund yet another project i'm working on with a few friends.

Jebus, if you are reading this, what front spring rate are you running? Your ish is similar weight to my setup however my ish will be tucked fully behind the strut towers. I'll cut the damn firewall if i have to.

Any idea what a good breakaway torque I should shim my diff? Right now I'm at 90-95lb. Just curious on what is ideal. My car is n/a if that makes any difference.
