Yep. I'm having the same problem with my tires in the wet.

My **** pushes like i didn't even turn the wheel. it's ******* scary is what it is.....

in the dry, it's not as bad but i need to bump rear tire pressure to keep it loose. Loose is fast. You want SUPER grip up front. SUPER GRIP or you will get pwned.

I blamed it on my welded diff, too much camber, my driving.....etc and no matter what i tried, even left foot braking and jabbin the brake and a second clutch kick to get angle, i would STILL push. Transfering the weight and kicking the clutch and THEN turning in yeilded better results even with a bit of left foot braking or heel and toe. I shift locked mine into an early entry last week and that went well but for the most part it's too dangerous for me to feel comfortable.

I'm super cautious driving in the rain now. I almost smacked a curb HEAD ON doing 45 mph the other day because of my shitty fronts which will be rears soon because my current rears are about toast. They have about 2 or 3 more sessions in em before needing to be flipped and by that time i'll have enough for good fronts. I sold my ******* rt615's but i was worried again, not enough wet traction and i practice MOSTLY in the rain.

There are a **** load of tires out there, but to name a few

Falken RT615
Federal 595RSR
Advan Neova
Nitto NT01

Remember that Federals run wide if you get them
although my car never had understeer issues this year (except for 1 time at XDC AZ) i too would highly suggest spending money on good fronts. RSR's might be good.
i think a 225, or 235 would be perfect upfront... try messing with air pressure (dropping front pressure) to help out a bit.
i was running used rear federal 215/40/18's at 35psi all year, and they seemed really well as for understeering issues went... the less aggressive you are with steering inputs help. just compensate knowing you have slippery front tires.
i've driven cars with Advan fronts, and that **** is like a freight train its unrealllllll

He needs to ******* hit up rene and have him do an aluminum hard pipe with a coupler on each end.

Quit ******* around with gay ****, Daniel San.

Is that a sublink shifter? I want whatever it is you're smoking as long as it isn't ****.

And yeah, i posted something on facebook about that ****. Not dk smoking ***** but dropping my front tire pressure. It pains me i'm too lazy to even do that. Play with tire pressure.... I just sit on my *** on the internet before and after work, swoon women, street it at random times, spin out, crash, get fucked up/party. I need a hobby, a warm one. Winter makes me feel like a *****. I dont even want to scrape the ice off my car to go slide right now at 4am and **** off the world with my brap-pop-pop-pow weaksauce failcar. To be fair, my fronts are around 50psi. I just checked them and it's freezing outside. Holy ****. HOw'd that happen?

yea guys i would like to know how much of a PITA it is to shim the TII diff...

like mine locks....kinda. but really one tire fires at times... i was debating welding it, but every 240/welded diff car ive driven i seriously spin out in like butter.... Forrest's street s13 is good, but i still get the juke, and spin when i attempt to drive the car... i want to stay with the 1.5way setup over welded.

Buckey, i noticed that too. I spin waaaay to much with a welded. I can power over IF i throw the car/transfer weight right but if i go too hard i spin. Never had that issue with my shimmed lsd. I think i just suck. I used pbr cans to shim my re-amemiya 2 way. It felt NOTHING like a welded at all. Much smoother and much better to daily on. Ilia, you ever get a kaaz or some ****, i want to buy my steeze back!!!!! Lol!

Um, i'm trying to see if ford posi disks will fit a TII s4 lsd. I'll be buying another unit to use my 4.(?) ring and pinion and stronger axles/hubs. I'm gonna be making some real power soon and my n/a welded is gonna break stubshafts for sure.

PBM and STANCE are hot budget coils.

I hear alot of mixed **** on megan/ksport/tein

Cusco's are good if you can find em used. I've heard zero complaints about those.

Personally, i wanna go with stance/swift combo next year if i can afford it. I really need to be able to tune my suspension better. Preloading the rear suspension and running an lsd is something i'd like to try out. Droop feels kinda twitchy and i get wheel hop cornering tight at speed with a welded. It squats like it should when i get a drift going but it's got that honda bounce **** going on almost!

Well, that's my informative post for the day. Happy hunting and play hard.

i was gonna go with pbm or stance cause i see a lot of people uson them so its gotta be for a reason. im all about all out performance but this is my street car to and no matter what people say even the most strit performance junkies like a bit of rice ex. super way to low ride height. its my street car so. want better handleing and shiny framerails lol.

I dont spin out often with a welded and Im 100% pedal to the metal It would be nice if I could afford a 1.5 though, I would imagine it giving me more speed.

Oilcover told me to do this 2 years ago..

Set the rear coilovers at the softest setting, take out the rear sway bar, set the front coilovers at medium stiff. Drift it and see how that feels. It will definitely make your transitions smoother, and rear end planted. Now from there if its not responsive enough, turn a few clicks stiffer in the rear until your comfy
[Note:The rearend squats when your on the gas, giving you more rear grip, the front will lift] Spin it hard with the rearend squating and you will make good smoke.

Even if you only have 117whp , as long as you stay on the gas 100%, with the right settings you can squat the rearend and make a bit of smoke. If you have the right settings , alignment, you wont have to get off the gas as often, therefore on the gas spinning more.

Im still on Tein HA coilovers. I bought them 4 years ago from JPR used. They have been blown for 3 years now.. The drive is shitty, bouncy, and sometimes sounds like a bov when you hit a bump. But eh it has worked for me. Eventually Il need to upgrade..

My coworker drifted into a curb in his sc300. Thats his old rear trailing link that snapped in half. I made it into a shifter lol.
I did have a few beers when I did this lol

It sucks when you have preferences. DK, my problem is my jic's are NON adjustable. I have no control over the dampening OR preload independent of ride height. Pretty lame. The thing is, it shouldn't matter and i should OUT DRIVE mysetup vs ******* around with it more. I get GOOD smoke and car squats nice. I just spin like a bitch.

Parkinglots pwn me. Drifting real corners....it's not a big deal because i know it's do or die and my body just tells me to get **** done. A parkinglot means "well, i can **** around and ice this lightpole and have it be no big deal." Hot Karl to the face.

I run similar to DK, almost full soft in the rear, no sway bar and as close to zero camber as possible. I have also changed all bushings in my setup, so its super planted and listens to what i tell it. I like squat and also run sticky tires when i can afford to. I close gap on my buddies really quick. Setup makes enough smoke to **** my buddies off. lol. I guess everybody likes different setups, i like alot of grip in mine. I hate greasy feeling cars.

Smoke.
