holy shit USDRFTR is back? since when? fuck I think the last time i saw you was at drift circuit in your two tone 240. i heard it got stolen but didn't know you were coming back out with a fc. wow man im happy to hear your back in action
Picked up a 7 and been putting everything I have into it. having a Garret 60-1 and long tube manifold put in now for more power! DEFINITELY different than the 240. No low end torque, but hopefully with this garret turbo and more tuning on the Haltech I can get more low end power. My last car, is that you in the back ground? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...bigpics028.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...bigpics031.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...bigpics032.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...bigpics035.jpg |
you running stock exhaust ports??? street port will only give power at 4k and up.
60mm on stock ports is what you wanna do. im sure with the correct timing and fuel map (keep the air fuel ratios at 11.5) then it should boost 5lbs at 3k to 4k after 4k it will jump to whatever the boost controller and wastegate is set at. im talking about on big street port. |
that wasn't my car. that was martin from part shop max

Meh, kind of a boring shot. Altho it is the last pic of my car N/A :)

The car looks fun though! I am jealous of your getting to drive a convertible. Does it suck to drift or does the chassis feel about the same as a regular FC? drifting a vert feels a bit heavier??? Its harder to drift than my gold car.. But then again, i have 117whp, and havent got dtss eliminators yet, and my front tein shocks are blown. I love it tho, topllesss |

I think I askd Mike Essa before and he told me a few tips and heress ome tips I found myselff..
for NA its hard to get smoke.. youl need ultra commitment staying on gas, especially to keep up with guys with sr20, or rb20.. Before your run do a standstill burnout to heat up the tires, the hotter the tires the more smoke, and never lift off the gas unless you have to, just keep spinning hard.. If you look at the rear right tire second picture I posted on my last post, you can see some sort of a flame, when you spin it hard enough youl get like a flame under the tires.. I know when I watched Samuel Hubineete in his viper smoking it up, i noticed that small red flame under the tires... [i dont know if anybody else ever noticed that] Set the tires at a higher psi maybe 50+ , the higher the more smoke..Just get up in the rotary powerband, and dont lift off...clutch kick like a motha if your not in powerband. Rotary na powerband is like 5,500rpm plus Learn to drft staying on the gas more.. The more you stay on the gas, the more your car with "Squat", the front end lifts up and the rear squats lower, this adds pressure to the rear tires also adding more smoke if while spinninnnn.. The more angle you drift the more smoke youl get... Rear camber matters too.. zero camber in the rear is best because more contact patch.. The wider the tires you use, the more, speed, angle and smoke..For NA, I just use 215/45/17s.. |
Right on, thanks. :icon_tup:

I have a small argument for you DK.
Okay the flame under the tires is from the tires being super worn out and the steel belt in the tire are touching the ground, it makes the car look like it's skating around. Second you have to gun it on NA cars because no low end torque and everything is up above 5k, I don't know how to fix rear camber I think I'm rolling -1.5 |
tc sportline makes em.. awr make sthe individual ones.
if you buy the tc sportline one onebay, they actually send you two for $80 when you only need one. Just buy one and sell the otherr, get your moneys backk |
|
awesome.. how was it?
|
Hmm... It was weird and incredibly fantastic
No Dashboard (that means no gauges... only boost gauge, I know, I know... I'm mad), first time I drive this car, first time I crank this engine ... But this thing is exactly what I've worked for. It's amazing, easy to handle, very fast, and ... reliable ! Just need to fix my chassis settings as I have some toe in for my FR wheel, maybe the same for the rear ones ( ! ) I'm now a rotary addict, for sure ! The sound, the spool (first turbo engine for me !), the rev limiter ... :icon_tup: |

+1 for rev limiter. I wish i had one. I just run out of gear and have to upshift. :D All that "pa-pa-pa-brap-pop-crack-pop" shit is awesome. I dont care if there's anything to gain from it aside from the noise. Shit is awesome.
