JTP knuckles
So I finally scraped enough money together to buy the Driftspeed knuckes but I'm having second thoughts and wondering why Justin charges $100 more dollars then Driftspeed? Can someone or Justin himself tell me what the difference is? I see that his are shortened and Driftspeed sorta stacked theirs while shortening the pickup point. Does JTP have more angle? And I see there is version 2 for JTP knuckles also but no info on his site. Any help would be appreciated. And the sooner the better cause I wanna order by friday.
I'm "broke drifter status" so $100 is a lot to me but I'd rather spend my money with a fellow rotard that I've talked to and seen what can do rather then a company I know little about but have only heard good things.

I don't know the differences.
I am here to say Justin learned all there is to know about FC's. He got his pro license with his fc and maybe 225 hp. It was all his suspension mods. That is all he drifted, until Fal;ken offered an awesome ride.
I have his knuckles, as well as cage, other suspension work, etc.
The $100 will be well worth spending.
+1 for JTP

+2 for HotLine knuckles. they're amazing. his alignments along with them
are also very very good to compliment them. I can't say enough good things.
go with HotLine. increased angle, increased excitement!

There's no question in my mind that there good knuckles. I want to know what makes them worth $100 more. I called Driftspeed and asked them some questions about theirs, it seems angle wise they're pretty much the same. The only advantage I see with the Driftspeed knuckles is that their cheaper and, I may be wrong about this, the pick up point for the outer tie rod is lower making it a little bit better of a angle for the steering rack. I defineately like the looks of Justin's more, their cleaner looking and the welds look awesome! That and the fact that he does pre-heating and post-heating, lets me know he's doing it all correct.
Again, so everyone understands, I know JTP makes awesome stuff for FC's and probably very soon for the FD. What I want to know is, product to product, why should I pay more for JTP's product? Am I missing something? Is there something more that I should know before buying modded knuckles? Etc, etc, etc.
Basically it comes down to this, I want JTP knuckles because I know they're great and he's a RX7 guy like most of us on this forum. And if he sold his for 250 I would HANDS DOWN buy his over Driftspeed just for the facts listed above. But if the products are equal in quality I gotta go with the cheaper ones, Premium and 2 stroke aren't cheap and used tires in my sizes are getting scarce.

You know and have seen JTPs work, he's a stand up guy and if there was ever a problem with his parts I'm sure he would be easy to talk to and get it all straightened out. I'd spend the extra hundred on parts and service I can trust as well as supporting the community.

you can see these are at full deflection at angle.. my spindles correct for that, which also helps bumpsteer.
my spindles are also tig welded for strength, not sure about the driftspeed ones...
as for the extra $100 price of my knuckles, it's basically my charge for the R&D into my knuckles along with my support for your setup. you can ask any of my customers/friends that have bought spindles from me, I offer advice for setting up your car and what works/what doesn't work..
in the end, it's up to you.. i feel like the extra $$ i charge for my parts is worth the amount of support i offer the community.

Yo justin, i wanted to ask you for some advice. i also need to get my haltech tuned pretty soon. PM me your number when you get back. i want to make a trip out there for a tune.
Back to knuckle talk. if you're scared of spending $100 then drifting isnt for you. when you start spending $100/each + on brand new tires to last the better part of 20mins you'll understand the value of R&D, as well as good suspension settings.. i need better coilovers so i can have JTP try to get my car setup better. these ebay ***** need to go.

Buckey, drop picks of painted fc please...
Just from looking at pics, I've decided not to mod my own, i will prolly be buying a set of Justin's. ****'s legit. I dont want to go through all the trial and error Justin did, just to say i made my own.. He obviously cares a lot about FC's and their setup, getting a tips from a pro is one of the best perks in this game. +45 for Hotline joints.

Scared of spending 100 more dollars? Where do you even get that from cause I'm not quite sure. Like I said, over and over, I just want to know why his are better/more expensive. I have a family to think about so $100 is a big deal if your spending it needlessly.
Justin, thank you for answering my question but it was a bit too late. I needed to order my knuckles by the starting of that next week in order to have everything set up in time for my next event. I see and understand why your asking $100 more and it seems VERY reasonable, but like I said, a bit too late for me. Hopefully though this helps someone else when they go to buy knuckles. If mine ever break I will be sure to spend the extra money for Hotline knuckles but in the mean time it's Driftspeed for me. Thanks again though.

I'll be honest though. Ever since I got my knuckles back from JTP, the car is actually doing what I tell it to do. Everything just feels smooth. I've only had the stock knuckles other than his. Like people have been saying, I think its better to "buy local" and support JTP and his hard work. We already have another set on the way for another car!!

I wasn't rushing actually, that was the whole point of ordering them by the beginning of that next week. It gave me more time to deal with issues that were bound to and did come up. Now I have enough time to DD it for a few days and make sure everything is working properly.
