Well you figure say 3-5K for the 20b by itself then to make the swap plug and play just buy the Hinson Supercars 20b subframe for 1,250 dollars which requires no further modifications. say about 1500-2000 dollars for a full stand alone with wiring loom of your choice. And about 3-4K for a custom turbo setup depending on what parts you buy.

These are some rough numbers and depend on you hunting for the best deal. But I would definately buy the Hinson Supercars subframe to make everything easier and plug and play

instead of buying the kit, why not make sure you get a late 93? and up 20b and tap the boss ports so you can just drop in the motor using fd motor mounts..

but if you want it done right.. you gotta do custom all the way.. so the weight balance stays close to the 2 rotor.. IE: making the motor sit further towards the fire wall, and lower...

it wont be cheap.. unless you can fab **** your self..

Honestly id say go large street port on a rew motor, good size turbo, water meth inj.,vmount and save your self lots of money compared to the 20b..

Your right a 2 rotor set up would be cheaper and you could spend your money on upgrades rather than doing a swap right.

Hinson Supercars 20b sub frame for 1,250 dollars

It will not pass Formula D tech. The rule is you must use stock sub frame.
Look at what Rotary Works did to the stock sub frame to get it to work. Motor sits low, back and the car is a perfect 50/50. we had the car corner balanced at Alex Pfeiffer's shop. Battle Version. If you want to go pro, read the rule book first to save lots of money and time.

That possible rule change has been on the table for years. I'm not sure if it will ever actually pass. There are only a few of guys I think it would affect anyway: Dai Yoshihara LS2 (I think) in a 240sx, Tyler Mcquarrie and Darren Mcnamara 6.7 V8 (I believe originally for a ford super duty) in a 350z and Saturn sky, and Charles NG LS6 in an RX7. Most people run factory motors anyway. It's the subframe rule that was earlier mentioned that makes things difficult for most people.

I don't know a whole lot about drifting, but Tanner Foust has the Toyota Nascar engine in his RWD tC.

Under the rule, that would be legal. Scion is sub brand of toyota. That would be like having a nissan motor in an infiniti. It's still a factory motor. Just like a 3 rotor in an RX7 or RX8 is.

You are almost correct. The problem was that they had rear suspension parts from a Toyota supra, that needed to be replaced with TC parts (stock or aftermarket) There was a similar problem with the signal auto skyline a couple years ago and they did not pass tech. I believe any of these rules can be gotten around by asking for a special inspection of the part and the inspectors deciding that it doesn't give you an advantage. One car I can think of off the top of my head is the BMI RX8. It doesn't have anything close to a stock front sub-frame, but Formula D allowed it to compete providing BMI moved the engine 6 inches forward. I believe that why they needed to move the radiator to the back.

Good build and good driving. Anyone on the forum should be so lucky to have such a car.

I think the tire was on backward in the first video though lol!!!

Hopefully you continue to do well. I'm tired of 240s

If you put the tread backwards on the rears they are less likely to chunk, nobody likes when a fresh set of tires only lasts 2 runs

I was just noticing in the engine bay pics that you're not running an ABS system. Do you have any info on removal of the ABS and what benefits you see from it out on the track?
