FC Hydro ebrake setups *pics please*

This is common knowledge and it's why a lot of guys who actually race their cars use different front and rear pads or an adjustable proportioning valve.

Do you actually drive your car? I have locked rears before fronts before and it is not fun.

Sounds like some bullshit still and either that or your car is fuxored.
My fronts ALWAYS lock up before the rear. Actually race their cars? I dont give a **** about racing. I grip drive VERY aggressively. Moreso as a stress relief than excelling b/c i haven't been riding my bike or skating. My local roads are FAR from the paved tarmac of japland and i drive them as fast as my tires will allow. Braking ALWAYS shifts the weight up front and i have locked my brakes up before the apex resulting in a drift. Not on purpose but that's what happens sometimes and i have to "deal with it". I'm still learning the limits of what i can and cant do with the car. I dont want to show up at practice sucking because i didn't get enough street in on my current janky setup.
I've tried to lock up all four with the brake pedal AND the handbrake to see if i could slide 4 wheel style and that worked (it wasn't pretty but i locked all 4 wheels up) but NEVER has the rear locked from heavy braking. That sounds like a fade/glaze/mechanical issue at best.
We'll see if i get this supposed "rear lock up" from the middle pedal once i upgrade the brakes this spring. Still all stock on oem spec pads too. Just off the shelf **** from mazdatrix and atkins.
I'm glad you can pull up "links" to your defense but all cars are factory proportioned with a front-favored bias. That's common knowledge and i dont need a link to prove that.
I'm just speaking from personal experience from the most part. Several of my friends i know PERSONALLY in real life drive fc's and have never experienced this rear lock you speak of without the aid of weight transfer or that "handle next to the shifter".
Any dork with money and a keyboard can do what you do btw..... We're just broke *** enthusiasts that really dont give a **** and like to drive, chill and have a good time.

I've definitely locked all 4 just on the pedal coming in too hot at a stop sign when I was like 15, that's some scary ****.
Anyways, if it was me I'd just hook it up in line with your current calipers to see how it is, and then decide whether you want to add more calipers. I didn't even know it was common to add a second set of calipers, I've never seen it. Again, my friend built a hydraulic e-brake for his DSM and hooked it up to the stock rear calipers, works great.

That being said, there's a guy somewhat local to me that actually drifted his gsx (front shafts removed) at vir a couple of times. Kinda off topic but i used to be big on the dsm scene and ****. Graduated to an even less reliable platform. Lol. What can i say? I like a challenge
Again, tried to lock up all four on the pedal a few times on the way to my spot (it's raining now) without the aid of the handbrake and it didn't happen. I wasn't shooting for backwards entries or even trying to drift really. Just top of second then JAB like a ************ with some turn in and counter. I felt the front wash and the car didn't really want to rotate much. Did not **** with the handbrake.
I need a hydro in my life. Clutch kick feels kinda sluggish. I played with it, tried weight transfer+handbrake and didn't get much done. Had more fun shiftlocking from third to second, playing with clutch kick in second JUST before the apex and did a bunch of first gear donuts trying to see how precisely i could control them. Just got back. Now i have stomach cramps..... I'm going to take a fat dump and name it "turbo II rotor" because i actually drive my car instead of wasting time and money on stupid **** i dont need and reading threads on here about racing.
Enough seat time will tell anyone what they need. I'm sure a hydro would be AWESOME as **** for anyone. Not saying you should neglect having a working oem handbrake and good pads tho!

Are a really good set of pads necessary when running a hydro ebrake? I recently made a purchase for the ASD setup as I was having trouble last year with Project Mu pads and my other chassis's rears locking up. Has anyone had experience with running separate calipers? Is it really worth it?

I talked to a few guys -JTP, Essa and some others -basically all said the same thing -make the stock brake work.
Make sure lines are bled well -cable is good -ect
I'm going to try that for now... Essa suggested Hawk pads http://www.hawkperformance.com/performance/hpplus.php
and JTP gave me another PN he used - I have the ASD handle -maybe once the season starts I'll consider doing the second calipers... for now -**** it -going to try those pads.

Second calipers enable you to use your foot brake and hydro at the same time if a situation arises when you NEED to use both.
Bit pricey but it all depends on what you like to do with your car.
Ramen isn't exactly poison.

Last time i checked, your **** doesn't run either.....
Yes, i'm rubbing it in your faces.
I spent a good hour streeting up fresh powder at 6am. Your **** sat parked in a garage because it "isn't ready yet". Rad, huh?
Drivers gonna drive.
I notice most people who get all technical and serious get butt hurt easy and are deep down very upset because they can't go out there and have fun with the money pit they're building.

This thing rotary? What engine mounts are you using? Engine in stock location? What trans? Regular ol' 4-speed with the side mount shifter?
Just curious, because I'm finally about to start on getting my dogbox in the car, and I've been worried about the shifter location from the start. Mainly because I really don't wanna put a hydro handbrake in the car, but your shifter location looks pretty good. If mine comes out about the same place, I'd be happy with that, and just make a handle that moved it back and to the center.
You like the trans?

I can't type and receive girly face on my man meats at the same time.
Thank you for throwing up my fc and it's short wheel base. We all know it's the motion of the ocean, not the size of your steeze!
I can't hang with that.
Zenki, if i could spend all my money on cars and weed, i totally would. I'm a hater.
I say i'll get serious and never do..... Motor is sitting on a pallet and i'm contemplating tossing it in a clean title s chassis shell and converting my fc to daily beater status.
Sad emoticon is sad.

of course there is going to be down time while a person builds something to help elevate their game. however, this does not mean that i am sitting on my couch looking for arguments on the internet while my bomb *** bitch gives me head and makes me a sammie. i have spent hours this winter sliding just like you.. only difference is im in a very comfortable long wheel base v8 while youre in your fc.
