Erics Soulless Seven

Alright so it all started when i was getting bored of my s14 and decided to sell it after owning it for almost 3 years

Then i found this oddball swapped fc with a 2.3 turbo and the body was really clean with 80k on the body and no rust, Drove down to Ohio and the wiring was all hacked but it ran good so bought it drove it home 5 hours no problems. Drove the hell out of it everywhere for the end of summer/fall, Now its time i get serious and drift it this season so i pulled the engine/dash/suspension getting it ready for new turbo, coilovers, welded diff but enough talking and onto the pictures

The wiring nightmare

Now i dont want any bashing in this thread just because its not a rotary powered car i have no problems with rotarys and am planning on getting one eventually. Depending on how this season goes i might be changing this back to a 13bt
Right now im debating on coilovers and bushings and ill try and keep this up to date as possible ive only been working on it for the past 3 days

with the 2.3 its pretty fun actaully stock is around 190hp and 240tq and the car has full 3 in exhaust fmic and seeing as how much lighter it is then the Thunderbird its been interesting. And this engine has been through hell and back. The only thing i really want to change is it having a better powerband in the higher rpms but with the new turbo it should

I remember back in like '02 a dude with a svo mustang that he like trash picked and had it doing low 10s in the 1/4 on stock internals. Those motors are virtually bomb proof. This thread will be interesting

So i forgot i posted this so here is some updates i finished putting my gasket set all in the engine making sure its not going to have any oil leaking out of it this time. I doubt ill be running this turbo much longer ill be going to a t3 turbo asap

Got my Powerbymax coilovers and installed them along with my sportmaxxs i just picked up.

There so shineyy
Got my wheels all cleaned up since they have been sitting on a 240sx under a cover for the past year

Got my car back on the ground and i painted the bay and test fitted the wheels no rubbing at all even at full lock

^ new favorite picture of the car
I leveled the coilovers so there is less reverse rake
I was going to see if i could have the diff welded but being a clutch type lsd looks like i will have to just deal with the diff untill i can get a 2way later on. Dropped my rear subframe so i can do the diff/subframe bushings i got the mmr bushings
and out

Took the diff and front subframe to work to get the old bushings out with the airhammer took a whole 5 mins

Then got my dtss bushings pressed in so now i just need to wait on the new wheel bearing and then im going to install the rear subframe back in the car.
The mmr rear subframe and diff bushings look identical and they say that you can tell the difference because one is "stepped" but i dont see anything diffrent in which and there not labeled
I was having some cooling issues last year seeing as it was using the stock rx7 rad with the 2.3 and the coolant came out as mud almost it was pretty bad so i bought a new aluminum one

got some brackets welded on the side of it and now installing it

Actually NOT cool, especially not for the OP's intended purpose. However the car looks damn clean and and it looks like the suspension will be well sorted.

this swap isnt for everyone the reason i bought the car is because there was no turbo2s in the area for sale this clean , and if there was any for sale they forsure were not as cheap as this car.

Ive already said in this thread i plan on switching to a s4 t2 engine/trans this winter if all goes well
