CR garage pirate fc build

BACKSTORY-

me and a buddy of mine recently got an awesome deal we couldnt pass up on a rolling chassis. we had the space so we went for it. this is the story of our build from the beginning. were just 2 guys with normal day jobs and a basic understanding of cars.

NO shops
NO sponsors
NO mommy and daddy money

were doing all of the work ourselves with a little help from some friends here and there. we just want to build a drift car thats a little bit cool and mostly stupid.

anyways enough of the BS talking on with the pics

heres the car as it sat when we rolled it off the trailer

Thanks man! All the wack parts aside, the chassis is straight and only one small area of rust so it shouldn't be too bad

found a ridiculous deal on these pbms with less than 1k miles on them. the stock springs are a little too stiff for my taste so they were replaced with a 9/7 setup. we tore them all apart and gave them a good cleanin.

the overfenders were about the only salvageable part of the old aero so i decided to fix them up a little in my spare time. plus itd be cool to have one part left on the car from before the rebuild. the previous owner said they were 30mm but they look alot more like 50 to me what do you think? (take note of the dick drawing)

so since we decided to build this car backwards aka engine last and everything else not as important first, we started to dig into the front and rear subframes. the front spindles and balljoints were sent to abercrombie to be modded (more on that later) and since there wasnt much we could do on that, we got some rear end action (lol)

since we will be going T2 rear end, were not really caring about the NA diff and axles theyre just oversized 2 ton garage ornaments for now

before going on i want to just say that this was probably one of the most miserable things ive ever done mechanically. if youre thinking about doing it just dont. just dont. id rather have someone slam my ***** in a door repeatedly than do this again. NEGATIVE amounts of fun

Seriously. just mount that body kit and run it. all bodykits fit like garbage. youre just going to break it anyway. its a gp sports rep. super cool looking if the car is low low.

Honestly the pics don't really show how shitty that Aero was. It was shredded AF. I have a hookup at AIT so we most likely will be running their stuff. the Aero on my red car fits near perfect

I'm gonna follow the **** outta this build.
If you made a parts-list and how-to for those adjustable lateral links, I would be so happy.
