Buckey's Pro-Am Build: '87 Mazda RX7 TurboII
#1751
My FC is becoming one with the earth. But dialed in my FD build over the last few months in spare time. Probably get back to the fc at some point this year if not my e92… too many cars. Not enough interest these days 😂😂😂😂

I picked this up awhile back. Cool little addition. Between this, my RX8, and the 2 other 7’s free time is pretty scarce these days.. But I’d like to get a kit on this, and find a sport wing just keep it simple. Refresh the white and add a nice pearl.
In a world of social media it’s cool to keep this thread going might post more, maybe.

With the market where it is for SR’s these days I decided to let it go and get back to something more familiar.
Wanted to use this turbo on my FD but the car is too good to change up and really not the car to be thrashing on.
I do want to let my red FD go. If anyones in the market for something turn key hit me up. Not cheap, but ready for your local track day event, or the weekend Cars and Coffee meet ups.

they are ok for mainly 2nd gear driving. But im sure you are aware they hate being upshifted mid drift to 3rd or 4th. Im installing a trans for the next event new bearings, liberty main shaft and ksp billet pan. We’ll see!

looks sweet!!! They really are. Does yours move around in the rear a lot? Mine feels like the subframe either flexes or rear arms are flexing and moving. Super sketchy. After buying this I see how some people can wreck them LOL
I’d bet it’s a mean autox car. Hoping to knock out some upgrades on it (coils, Lund tune, maybe a lock kit) and take it to a road course event at some point this year. Drifting it is alright but it feels like it would be sweet as a grip car.

Decided to retire this chassis and locate a replacement. I haven’t wanted to put this car through events ever again so it will live on as a roller painted Viper Red. I likely won’t ever put any of these cars through events moving forward. It will be nice to look at after a hard days work sitting on the lift at my house
