I ordered on the 5th of this month. He has a little time to make things happen. Im hoping for the best
I emailed pbm again tonight to see when the fc kit is due to start production. The fc Rx7 is the bastard child of the drift industry. All the 240 and others get all the goods. They have plentiful options from many companies

I sent mine in when I placed my order. Thats just how it should be.
You dont order a bnr turbo without sending in your turbo.

Once again, why wouldn't he state that when ordering. Or in one of the few return emails ive gotten. The $150 charge is kept if u dont send in core parts.

So it has almost been six months since my parts were shipped to him, all I'm waiting on are ball joints and tie rods ends. I have been told that the parts were to be finished February 25th, after that they got delayed, two weeks ago I was told that the joints are going to the powder coater, still no sign of a track number nor a reply about if the joints are finally done or not. There is no way I will be making my first event on April 13th because of the ridiculous wait and I'm starting to doubt I will make the event I had planned on 27th of April.

I sent Zak a set of knuckles and ball joints to mod in early Feb. Also sent two extra sets of knuckles that I received a small discount for. I was told a month or so. It's been about 4 months now. Most of the time he gets back to me within a day or so. I sent him a message via Facebook on Monday 4/28. Then an e mail yesterday on the 30th. I haven't heard from him. I'd like an update. And if it is gonna take much longer I am thinking about asking for my $ and parts back. I'm trying my best to hold back and stay positive and not say anything negative. But seems like someone needs to stock up on red bulls or monsters and stay a little late and put in some extra work.

After several e mails and messages and not getting any answers. Zak finally gave me a refund and is sending my parts back to me. Hopefully all 3 sets ok knuckles and my ball joints come back.
My opinion is Zak and his company abercrombie motorsports is a joke. He has terrible customer service. It is obvious his attention is elsewhere besides his business. I can see I am not the only one who has had the pleasure of dealing with him. I would avoid at all costs and will advise others to do the same. 4 months wait time is ridiculous, and still no parts. I was lied to several times about approximate wait time. I was originally told he would get to them in a month. I was always very polite. He was quick with a response when I inquired about the knuckles, and answered all questions promptly until I sent him my hard earned money. A note I will be making to myself is to never deal with a business that isn't willing to give out a phone number. There is no number on his site, and did not answer me when I gave him my number and asked him to call me.
Again, avoid dealing with abercrombie motorsports at all costs. He will take your money and not give 2 cents about when you get your product back. I hope we can ween him out of out rx7 community and hopefully shut his doors

i am very sorry to all of those of you who have bean waiting for your parts. and those that cn wait no longer have definitely shown it in there attitudes and statements on here. some true and some a bit exaggerated. regardless as i have said many times before i am a one man business. so staying on top of as many orders as i have right now and giving accurate estimations of when orders will be completed and making those deadlines when things go wrong that pull me away is more than challenging. for those thinking i am not spending enough time working on orders.. i am in teh shop 7 days a week. i spend monday through thursday working on my orders from 9am to 7:30pm then am usually on the computer until about 12 answering messages and emails from customers and potential customers. thursday through sunday i work on local guys project cars. so its not that i am not working enough. it is that there is not enough of me to go around.. i have always had a really good reputation and it really hurts to see that going down the tube because of how far behind i am. i have never cheated any one nor like to my customers. just because i haven't been making the ship dates i have given doesn't make me a liker. it makes be really bad at figuring out how long my work is going to take.

You shouldn't take orders if you can't keep up. Or at least be honest and say that it takes at least takes 6 months from the get go. Or only sell sets or parts that you have complete. (Like pbm, they list how many they have in stock) it's pretty simple to set up on your site. It's only fair. What you are doing is obviously not working. Like I said, I really wanted your parts because I've heard great things. But if the customer service is this bad how can I trust the quality of the parts? I requested parts and money back. Which you did refund me most of the money back and I'm waiting for my untouched parts to arrive. You didn't even try to even with me or attempt to make an upset customer happy and keep my business. I was just given excuses.

Zak seems to only be falling more and more behind. I came here because it seems he's responded in this thread.
I am as of this point 12 months having paid and no shipment. The last contact I got after continuing to have shipment dates slip more and more was February 11th. At that time he told me "I just started on your parts". I've emailed asking since then for projected shipment dates and gotten nothing.
Had I known I would be a full YEAR waiting I would not have gone through Zak/ Abercrombie. The money I saved over buying the then available PBM is just not worth it.
At this point I haven't gotten any response so I can't even ask for my money back. I've been nothing but patient and it's done nothing but cost me. DO NOT BUY.

I'm satisfied with the final product and know that as a businessman and designer myself, that ANY hand-made specialty work takes time. Zak could work on organization and communication better, but his products are great.
