personally, i have bent 1/2" shanks and studs. said heims were most likely not made of chromolly. the damage to the ends were from running the track in reverse, where the rumble strips were backwards.

yes if these shanks where made of a lesser grade material they would be questionable as well. but they are made of the same 4140 that the heim joints are made of. my gen 1 tierods had shanks made of mild steel and the cheep QA1 heims like GKtech and SPL use. was very unhappy with them. that is why i have gone with these. havnt had a single issue with this version.

it doesn't matter that it's the same size as the OE stuff.

what does matter is that these sphericals are dropped down and they will have more of a load on them because of the added leverage. that's why using bigger is better.

i've used 5/8" heims for 5+ years and have never broken one. i've been in hits hard enough to bend the frame and the tie rod ends were fine.

SPL has also gone through like 5+ revisions with their kits and they know whats up.

when these tierods are ran with my knuckles the knuckles are what "drops down" so the outer tierod socket is the same distance from the steering arm as a stock tierod would be. i run the same tierods on my S13 and i have hit a curb hard enough to bend my LCA, my coilover and my Tein inner S14 tierods and the outer tierod and knuckle where still perfect.

just want to make sure I have this correct, your charging $570 for your knuckle, rack spacers, outer tie rods, and ball joints? Does that include the knuckle core cost of 150?
Just wondering because before you posted the cost would be $400 plus the rack spacers which are $60 on your site. Can you clarify this? maybe i missed something though

Thanks for reasuring me hes a good dude. I need HIS reasuring words hes working on it. I am in no way trying to be a dick.

PayPal disputes need to be made in a timely manner. I paid many dollars to be hearing crickets from his end. All I got was a PayPal receipt showing payment completed. I understand people are busy but damn....give a guy some confirmation that your working on it with some sort of a time frame.

Chime in anytime Zak Abercrombie!

I very much want to rock the Abercrombie gear on my car. I dont want anyone, ESPECIALLY Zak to think im an *** for mentioning PayPal disputes. It just takes 2min to write a quick email response to the 3-4 ive sent. I hope to hear back from him by next week.

I understand custom work is lengthy and needs precise attention to detail.

Please Mr Abercrombie, dont rush the fabrication lol.....I dont want to die.

No worries on the quality he's just a busy guy, and I don't know why he hasn't responded he's usually pretty prompt with emails but you might get one in the early hours if the morning but no worries he's hooks it up

Lol...im just impatient. And when I hand over money for a product (like many other transactions) I expect a prompt response same day, if not at least the next.

I understand life events happen. I dont know his situation. I hope he's not in jail or on vacation, or worse. If not, I would hope that his electronic device, that im sure he has in his pocket or his office is able to receive and send email responses.

I'll wait a few days. Im not trying to be an *** in any way with the PayPal dispute mentioning. It does have a 45 day limit.

If you're seeing this Zak, i am sorry, please dont take it the wrong way.

Cheers

Yes, he has, every time I ask about any progress, it's blamed on other orders. He did give me a date by when they should be done, which was February 25th, after which he said it will be few more weeks.

Please someone else chime in as to how long your wait was or has been so far for this setup.

Ive only been waiting for 3 days for a "thanks for purchasing" kind of response. As well as an estimated wait time.
