Plus you obviously know nothing at all about modding a car because in order to get a 13b turbo to the same amour of power as my STOCK 5.0 I would have to upgrade the turbo and spend a sh*t load of money on a dyno tuning it to so itll last more than 2 passes. And still won't have anywhere near the reliability as my bone STOCK 5.0. So get off your dumbass high horse and go read a book or two about tuning before you try and comment on someone's thread. And please believe I know my piston motors as I am an ASE certified tech and also have worked with pro drift teams and actually have a few personal friends who are pro drifters. So of I don't know something they for sure doo. So just stop. Everytime you post you make yourself look even more dumb.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Igot the motors and drivetrain. In this weekend. Now all that's left to get her running is wire everything up and get an exhaust fabbed up!!
WRONG, both the 13BREW and the Renesis put out more power bone stock v.s. the 5.0L Ford engine. Both are easily upgradable for power and embarrass the piston engines with its low weight and high h.p./liter. Tuning for the rotary is no different and costs the same as a piston engine. You ruined the car.

I've never had a "piston" engine in my FC and I'm on motor number 6 because I've been through 5 "robust" rotary engines. Yes, they're cool engines but even a complete retard like YOURSELF has to admit they have lots of issues which motors like, oh, I dunno, a 302 don't have.

This is RX7Club, not Rotary **** Lovers Club. If anyone should get out it's trolls like you which will obviously never happen. 302fc is doing a good swap into a good chassis to have some great fun and you can't seem to get the blown apex seal out of your *** and enjoy that fact. Fail.
I think you are way off and exaggerating on problems with the Renesis engine. I won't even comment on the rest. There is nothing wrong with wanting to keep the car as it was from the factory. Thousands of classic car owners do the same and keep the original engine and don't ruin the car with an LS1 or 5.0.

This guy is as bad as VW fab boys. First off have fun throwing an REW in an fc. Second off, the renesis engine with tranny would prolly be 3-4 times more costly than his 302 swap. It's a drift car, it's going to smash into things.
Yeah, rx7's are classics, but are far from rare. Mazda built like close to 500,000 of them for the US alone

150k of them being FC's, so they are not rare. So quit trying to prove an irrelevant point. He didn't ruin his car, an LSX, 302, SR20, 1Jz or RB swap will prolly walk the track, with your ragtop NA **** anyway.

Do you even really have a car, or are you some trailer junky fanboy who doesn't know shut from apple butter and gets all the info they know from wiki?

90vert wont acknowledge that. He's probably on his first fc and hasn't even slid the ****** with any kind of countersteer or knows how involved any kind of swap is. Even a 13bt. He's one of "those" guys. You know, the ones the drift section was created to keep out? Rx7club drift section=no rotards allowed.

There are some fc owners in st. louis who made motormounts and did v8 swap in their garage, and it works... ohhhh weeellddinggg!!

anyways, my opinion:

2 rotor until it blows up

v8 because its loud, torquey, inexpensive and loud

3 rotor because you've something to prove

If you want to drift and not worry, v8 doesnt matter the car, FD proves that :O

budgetslashcry: What? lol I did my whole swap without a welder. You can buy PEZ mounts that mount in the stock rotary mounting holes for hella cheap.

what im saying is that torue is good in a v8 too, but cheaper than a 3 rotor... and im saying that you can easily make your own motormounts and swap in a v8 in your garage, its really easiy to do the v8 swap in fc (obviously you can also buy motormounts)..

any updates on this build??? pics please! let's keep this on topic>>> 302FC's BUILD.. no hate thread...

look, i'm definitely one for keeping a rotary... but everyone has their take... if you want to talk **** on someone's thread, do it to their face.. anyone can sit behind their keyboard, e-thuggin' all they want.. be a man and do it in person, but keep that **** out of my forum or you'll be banned.. i promise!! >>especially you 90VERT, since you started the stank<< yo, all my cars have rotaries.. but v8 is a logical solution for some people.. especially if there aren't any good rotary tuners local.. which is the case in about 80% of the US!! ahahaa

to each their own.. so keep your negative comments to yourself, otherwise i'll just delete your post, cuz that ***** not gonna slide..

Cool story.. Howevor, it's not your forum. The fella there above you (JTP) says what gets deleted and what doesn't... Work on your own car please.

Back to the build at hand, 302FC, I didn't catch it off hand, but are you using the later FI setup for this? Or the earlier speed density style? Also, I'm not quite sure of the differences.

haha.. i definitely will .. i didnt get it running last weekend.. got most of the wiring done but the rotary gods are fighting me and put a short somewhere in the wiring so the fusible link that powers the ecu is burning when i put power to the car.. soo this weekend im gonna spend all the time it takes to get her running and videos will definitely be put up!!!

That sucks so much. Electrical issues are the worst. Period. Are you just going to strip the harness down and make a new one or what?

i ended up pulling the wiring harness apart to try and find the short.. after a lot of testing and whatnot i found the problem to be within the pcm or EEC as ford calls it.. spent a week trying to find another one and finally got one yesterday.. hopefully ill get some time to work on the car tonight or tomorrow
