I need Feedback on Fontana Village...
I need to know what you liked and what you disliked about Fontana Village.
I know several of you had problems with the cabins.
Please post here what kind of problems you had. Hopefully next year, all these problems will be fixed!
Thanks!

We stayed in a room at the Inn instead of a cabin and it was really nice. We had a deck on the back that had a view of nice creek. The cost was only $65 for one night. The hallway to the room was messed up because the carpet was all rolled up but I believe I overheard that blonde-headed waitress tell John that a major construction firm has just recently bought out the Fontana Village and they are totally renovating the whole thing...Inn, rooms, cabins and all. She even said they were putting in a wave pool , serioulsy! So I'm sure that by this time next year a lot of the querks will be worked out. I still enjoyed my stay!

Our cabin was fine. I think I am going to stay at the inn next year. I would say they are about to put a lot of money into the area. The company that bought the village has been around forever and were contracted for the 9/11 clean-up and the Katrina clean-up. The prices will probably go up a little bit next year, but it will probably be worth it, especially if you come up early enough to enjoy the village activities as well as the dragon.

Our Cabin Barely had hot water and hardly any water pressure....Would have been nice if we could've used that big whirlpool tub. Cable?....We had cable?
HAHA...oh well. Hopefully the renovations will be done for next year.

I was really impressed with my room. The stove was not plugged in and I didn't have a phone or an Alarm clock but aside from those things it was very clean, the appliances where new, and it came fully stocked with plates, silverware, etc.

Our cabin (trailer) was fine. One exception: No phone. Kind of a bummer when there isn't a cell phone tower within 30+ miles.
The staff was simply excellent. Great people with even better customer relations.

The Cable works....you just have to use the VCR to change channels....Our cabin was straight, it always seemed like the air was on.....we had a small *** TV....but for the amount of time we spent in it , it was worth it.....

My room in the Inn was great, I had a walk out to my car 20 feet away and could see it from my door/windows, Cable worked (i got a ~32" tv) and they said the internet will be hooked up soon (its all wired up already)
i had hot and cold water, heater/AC worked great although a bit loud,

My cabin was great. So far I've statyed in a laurel and magnolia. The magnolia ++ . With the 6 people staying there it only ended up being $56 for the entire weekend. Cant beat that price for what we got. Although, there was only one bowl in the kitchen.... good thing we brought our own

we stayed in a cabin and it was awesome. didnthave a phone to call anyone to organize leaving and times to meet. only other problem was the flies! big huge monster mutant flies! which was alright cuz they were slow and the cabin came with a fly swatter. so 5 mins of running around with it, it was fixed i loved it and will definitly come again.

The first cabin we were in had no phones, the carpet was a mess and the kitchen floor was sticky. So they moved us to another cabin that was fine but stiil no phone and the dvd/vcr didn't work. Still had a great time. Can't wait till next year

we stayed in a cabin. the floor wasnt level, the TV cabinets doors would just keep going one way causing the TV to be blocked, there was very little hot water and water pressure, the power went out during the night causing the alarm clock to mess up, microwave didnt work. id definately go next year and all the years that follow, i just wouldnt stay in a cabin again unless they changed a lot of stuff.

I had a room at the Inn and it was very good. Very clean and comfortable. Had cable TV("32 TV, could've used some more channels though). Phone worked fine. The only drawback was no refrig in the room. Had to use the old ice bucket.
