Parts Wanted section
First of all, I think the parts wanted section is a silly idea. I don't think it gets nearly as much exposure as the parts for sale section. My thread was moved there and immediately died. I suspect that a number of successful "wanted to buy" ads were answered by people casually browsing the parts for sale section realizing "Oh, I've got one of those lying around, I'll give it to this guy.."
If you insist on having a parts wanted section, why do we still have the distracting and space-consuming "Wanted to buy" and "For sale" labels in the parts for sale section.
Why is this being messed with so much? It's really annoying to navigate and I really don't see how the system we had before was a problem.

People complained they wanted a part wanted section. So it was created. Now other people complain their threads get put there.
Can't win em all. Sorry.
you might not be able to see the previous problems, but I can tell you there were quite a few issues that required quite a bit of legwork to be resolved.
We are changing some things as the new VBB has additional tools to streamline classified ad postings, but they have to be tested before rollout.

The "WTB" is still in the FS drop down menu because it hasn't been killed yet. One of the big reasons the "Parts Wanted" board came into being was to get around the mandatory price window as the ad was built. Everyone just put zero anyway since they weren't selling anything.
It's also more efficient....now, with all the WTB's in one spot for the RX-7 stuff, you don't have to go through pages and pages of FS ads looking for them.
