the_saint,
killer ride, wish i had an FD, oh and treat those rims nice since they're like the sweetest rims ever! Though Enkei RPF1's are a close second.

I just got back from Winnipeg. I was up visiting for possible immigration.
I saw a red 87 TII at the Assiniboine park on the 12th.
Until I saw this thread, I thought maybe I'd be in trouble brining it (wouldn't find parts).
Hopefully I'll see you all again before too long (waiting on residency papers).

We had a good time. We mostly just stayed in the city looking at housing locations, pricing of services, and of course shopping. The weather was pretty nice when I was there. I'm not sure how nice -30 will feel in the winter though.
My seven can't handle cold down here. Cold tires spin way to easily and the car takes forever to warm up. Snow = no friggin way. How bad ($$$) is winter storage?

and the response to the cold issue , there is really no such thing as bad weather , just bad clothes.

I went to the MPI auction today to bid on an hail damaged '83 GS ( pics attached ) but dropped my bid limit based on meeting the former owner ( Jim) who gave me a little insight on the car and engine. THANKS JIM if you see this . It had some nice suspension parts on it that I could use for the '79 but I'm still a year away from even starting the restoration on it . car is not origonal colour , painted grey from black (H1 code)
went for $950, I was going to pay $750 tops
edit : for some reason the pics aren't not visible I saved from the MPI webpage

Anyone doing any work on their cars this winter or planning ? or shopping for parts etc.?
I am redoing the leather seats on my '89 ( a few pics attached so far. ) These are covers from leatherseats.com I am also busy buying a bunch of stuff on ebay for the '79. In the last month I've bought some konig rewind 15" rims, a glass moonroof, a new dash and miscellaneous parts and RX7 items like key chains etc. Going to get some new springs and struts for the '89 when the dollar goes back up from Racing beat and also some for the '79, but haven't decided on those yet . Maybe coilovers from reSpeed.

Nice! I'm swapping off the Holly to the Nikki, but keeping it on the Racing Beat Intake Manifold and a 1" spacer to adapt bolt patterns. but I had to search for a week to find an air cleaner... Other than that I'm fixing my shaved door handle popper, securing the cargo carpet, and a fixing other stupid little things...
