Hahaha yeah. I hope there's enough nice weather to get my FB back up and running. Would be a shame to have to take the beater or my mom's corolla if my beater is sold by then. Lol.

Its been a while since i've been on here. I got the FB going on the weekend and i've been having fun blowing through a tank of gas in 200kms or less. LOL! I still have to tune my carb but at least i can drive her.

I'll def vote for your car, Ken. What time does the show start? I'll try to get a morning shift at work so i can make it.

PS: LMAO @ the "wondersteer" tag. We have some good ones in the meet thread on Heights. Lol.

Well, it really depends what you want to have done...

There is a very knowledgeable guy in the St. Norbert area named Fred (275-1589). I have also heard some good things about Competition Engine (832-3418).

Join the WinnipegHeights forum to keep up with all of the local Winnipeg news.

Red face Combination switch - controls headlights

Hi;
I have a 1982 RX7-GX Pearl White with the wide body Mariah kit installed.

I'm looking for a replacement part for the turn signal, control mechanism that sits on the steering column, which turns the head lights on and off.
My lever, normally when I push it forward that usually puts the High Beams on and if you pull it forward the High Beams come on until you release the lever. However the present problem is this: when I push it forward the High Beams Do NOT come on but when I pull it forward and hold it towards me the High Beams work. Destination Mazda told me that the switch is bad and I need to replace it. Anyone have a replacement that they would like to unload?

Thanks.

Sorry about the last minute changes!!

I haven't been on here in a while and almost forgot to update this thread. We've made some more changes but nothing major. We are going to meet at a different location in the park instead of the Zoo lot.
I will try to be there at least 30mins early so anybody who wants to show up a head of time, you are more than welcome to keep me company while i setup the BBQ. Lol.

Link to original Heights thread is here. PLEASE READ!!
http://www.winnipegheights.com/forum...d.php?t=197703

WHERE: Assiniboine Park (See map for exact BBQ location).
WHAT: Mazda Meet, and BBQ.
WHEN: 5:00 P.M. Sunday, May 24, 2009.

This is a general Mazda meet for all ya Mazda-holics.
The streets should be swept by then so you guys have NO REASON to not show up. Lol.

Hotdogs are up for grabs and donations are greatly appreciated.

Bring your own drinks tho. Thanks!

Also if anybody has roasting sticks, PLEASE BRING THEM!!

Thank you very much!

WHERE:West end of the park

Do lots of research on here before you see Fred. He knows his stuff but he likes to... use "unorthodox" methods. And watch out when he tells you something isn't "necessary." Lol

Search in the first gen section for "combination switch" fix.

There are 2 ways to go about this (prolly more but these are common and straight forward).
FIRST: you can try spraying lots of contact cleaner into the switch while repeatedly moving it through its motions. If this doesn't work you'll need to...

SECOND: Take it apart and clean the contacts by hand. There's more to this method than i'm willing to type but search in the 1st gen section in the archives. If i feel up to it i'll find it for you tomorrow.

PS: I want to see this widebody at the meet.

August 2, Mazda Meet

WHERE: Assiniboine Park, Zoo lot (inside the park).
WHEN: 7PM Sunday, August 2.
WHAT:Mazda Meet, photoshoot.

Let's get some photographers in on this meet. I wouldn't mind some nice shots of the beater.

Keeping it simple this time, guys. Show up, check out some cars and enjoy some company with fellow enthusiasts.

the 89 vert is still on the road but may put it away next week or next. Still looking for a new storage place . ... I had a mouse issues last spring ( not serious , but bad enough)

I stripped my white 79 parts car this week and will be making some improvements to the 79 LE this winter . Engine needs a rebuild and I MAY get the R.P.M guys to put a T2 engine in it

Hey let me know if you find a new spot, I had a mouse issue as well at the same storage place. Looked like the bastard just gathered up some insulation and piled it into a ball then left. If they all did that I could use a couple to get rid of some more insulation and weight haha.

I guess when the barn next door burnt down, they all moved next door.
