Who insures your FB?
Hey guys/gals,
I'm having trouble finding an insurance company in the Greater Toronto Area that will insure my '84 GSL-SE. Most say that they won't insure it because of it's age, 20 years or older, so I'm forced to find either a specialty insurance company or keep searching for a regular company that will cover me. The insurance company I've been with ever since I began driving 5 years ago won't even insure it, they told me to get another company! Have you had this problem? What companies did you get to insure your car?
Thanks!

Never had a problem with the RX or an other car, and I've had them as old as 1964. I'm insured with State Farm for all my vehicles. No problem.

Presidents Choice Financial - very accommodating, or if you just use the car for "hobby" use try Lant and Co Silver Wheel Policy. The car has to be over 15 years old, needs a full appraisal doing (about $200) then the premium is about $150 a year. No km restrictions but cannot use the car for anything other than "hobby" use.

love the braaaap
I'm with North Kent Mutual out of Dresden, about 20min outside of chatham. They gave me the cheapest quote and would insure it without a problem. I payed $275 per month untill I took the car off the road because of the engine. Other companies like State Farm were quoting me $500 a month!
