cops are people.
people are bias and opinionated.

i dont like cops. i dont associate with them and if one of my kids became a cop, i'd disown him/her.
yes, i hate cops that much.

i dont have to know any of them personally, just the fact that they wear a badge is enough proof of their bigotry.

as i say to all my friends, they hate me because i have black hair, tanned skin and slanted eyes. (this is something that only a coloured person would admit to being the reality in Canada)

Yeah what the hell? Over here, cops beat on whoever they need to. Anything that can give them that comforting power and authority feeling.

Hey now, don't go picking on the Neons, Tempos ok, but my 1997 SOHC Neon is quicker than my best friend's N/A S5... Granted I've got a few mods, but he's got a header and full exhaust system so it's not completely unfair lol... but i must admit I'm jealous of how well the "7" handles... we're workin on a cai and some other stuff for it atm so my victory will be short lived..

Not picking on the car (I would never buy one thou). I'm picking on the idiots showing off in Mom's car (which just happen to be things like Neons and Tempos). I'd be too embarrassed to race anybody if I was driving something like that or any other stock family car. A modified Neon is a bit of a different story, cause the guy driving likely owns it and has a little pride in his car and not as likely to ruin it. It also may actually be worthy at that point. Although, I don't understand why anybody would want to mod a Neon or Tempo LOL, but I imagine some would say the same about RX-7s. I just have no respect for somebody who does this with somebody else's vehicle, especially when they are delusional and driving the crap out of a dime-a-dozen stock family car. It's like the little dog phenomena (The smaller they are, the tougher they think they are). Where I live, these are the ones who mostly cause the problems and make street racing an issue.

Ah I see, no worries, it's funny though, because I've never gotten a ticket in that car, despite it being pretty quick.... I actually got my first speeding ticket in 2 1/2 years today, ironically it was in a customer's little base mdel Golf, on the highway comming down a hill slowing from a 90km/h zone to a 60 km/h zone, I was clocked coming into the 60 zone doing 72km/h... i mean, wtf? 12km/h over the limit and still slowing down, I get a ticket while I see rigs regularly run through there without slowing down from their highway speed, and they never get harassed... makes no sense to me....

And why can't you modify a car for use on public roads?

Who the **** paid you to post such nonsense anyhow?
With only 3 posts in all this time, you seem like a paid shill for the government.

Now, getting back to mods... I suppose I can understand the arguement for limiting or prohibiting POWER mods, but what the hell is wrong with tuning a suspension or upgrading brakes? You obviously want safer roads, so please tell me what is so bad about having a car that handles better or stops sooner?

Even in the case of power upgrades, what is truly wrong with it? Do you not see the irony of a rich guy that can afford a Ferrari or whatnot versus some not-so-rich guy that simply would like the same performance? Why should the rich be able to buy that much power off of a showroom floor when someone else is prohibited from building an equivalent car? I should mention that it is PERFECTLY LEGAL to build your own car from scratch with whatever performance you wish!

I own a british TVR 390SE that has far more ***** than my rx-7 EVER will, even after dumping a ton of money into it. Why should my RX-7 be illegal when my TVR isn't? Simply because I paid more for the TVR? What NONSENSE!!!

You are truly a moronic jackass.

He's a troll.. and with every post like yours he's achieved what he set out to do. I believe Aaron banned him though, no worries.

I respectfully disagree.

If I were to let that guy inflame me or rile me up, sure, then he achieved his goal.

I wasn't riled up or angry however. I just called his nonsense as I saw it. His whole premise is full of holes.

People by their very nature are inclined to go with what their "authority", such as police and government tell them to do, and is in their best interests. It's a herd mentality unfortunately.

I simply would like anyone who does stumble across this thread to get a second point of view. While I am certainly not the first to bring a second opinion up, the replies to this topic that I read only had one other person mentioning the notion of simply buying the same performance tuning gets you, with one being legal, the other not.

I forget who posted it, but they made a really good point and I wanted to regurgitate it...lol

I wasn't feeding the troll... I was showing him how stupid his delusions are.
