I have to get the oil changed, and the spark plugs checked, and then she'll be good to go for the season. Can't wait to fire her up and have some power again. The power is what I miss the most. That and the turbo spooling if I give it a bit too much throttle..

As of Monday night, Tina is back on the road! Be afraid, be very afraid. Took a night off to go to the doctor about something in my eye (it was metal which required a hospital visit yesterday...yay, I can see again!) and then after the appointment, figured I'd get the car out. Pushed it out of the garage, adjusted tire pressures, popped in the battery and she fired first try. Went for a drive, car was sideways a few times, and went through about 1/8 tank of fuel in 40 KM. 
Gotta' take it easy for this tank since it's 4 months old and full of fuel stabilizer.

Weekends go by so fast, I didn't have a chance to take the wraps off the old girl...but I did today!!!
As I removed the cover, I forgot how nice the paint is.
And then I checked the battery...it sat in the car's bin all winter with the cables unhooked and only dropped .3 volts.
After giving the car a once over, I gave her a crank and away she went. After a little cloud of smoke, she was good to go. Man, I love the way she purrrrrs.
So I go for a quick cruise around the block. Again, I forget how light and nimble she is, compared to the family bus.
I got to remember to bring my wallet and driver's license with me next time. You ever do that? Work on the car with empty pockets, when decide to go for a quick driver with no license on you?

Yesterday, I washed and dried the exterior, the removed the seats and vacuumed the interior. I found $3 in change, so now I only paid $5497 for the car! Today I ground the surface rust off the seat rails where they bolt to the floor, repainted them, shampooed the carpets and seats, cleaned and Armoralled all the plastics, and cleaned the windows.
By this time, it was 6pm on what was a beautiful sunny Sunday, so I fired her up, drove up 25 to Acton, East on 7 through Georgetown, Norval and Brampton, down Mississauaga Road and back home on the 401. Awesome!!!
No bugs; no dirty,; she was still nice and clean when we got home.
