Veilside Fortune FD build - All show...and some Go?!
Well its been almost 2 years in the works and we're nearing the end!
I have so much to say about the build and all the challenges it presented us with, but instead of writing a novel, that most people wont read anyway.....I'll post pics!
Pictures of the engine build
Brand new ported irons
Basic parts used in the engine build:
New ported irons
New ported rotor housings
New Race main and rotor bearings
ALS Ceramic 2mm apex seals
Total time into porting and building the engine = 80 hours
Body work!
The rear quarters had to be cut out for the larger tires and for the new widebody quarters for mount onto

Notched the firewall slightly and boxed it back in

Here is a sweet place to hide the battery!
Also had the turbo housing, header and the wastegate ceramic coated by Fireball coatings
And now the engine is landed

All the wiring was tucked and hidden through the body
Remote moisture drain for the air ride tank. This'll make it easy once the dash is in place.

Built some brackets for the oil coolers, took almost 5 hours to figure out the first one lol. Such tedious work.
Fuel system is almost complete, had the complete system custom made for this car.

Paint teaser
Apexi Titanium Catback exhaust fitting perfect!
Hood fitted and looking pretty decent
You can tell where the two tone color is now!
A quick test buff
Can you tell the difference? 30sec test wetsand and buff on the left clearly haha

Got the car running.
Natural Sound finished up installing the sound system and interior. Couple weeks ago we took it to Marken to break the motor in on the dyno. Had a few small issues but was a great success.
We took it back to Marken and finished tuning and got some numbers.
464WHP and 371ft/lbs
91 octane pump fuel
15psi of boost
That was all we wanted to accomplish, break 450whp on the wastegate on pump fuel.
Tucking 20" rims! Only FD I've ever seen that can do that.
600whp here we come

^ thats the latest update since this past weekend.
The body shop has some panels polish and fit (sideskirts) and we also have some cold start tuning left.
Other than that, in the spring I hope the owner will bring the car back to us to raise the boost and try some 110 octane. I want to see 600whp out of this yet. Not too bad....for a showcar!

Great work! Color combo works well! Power and looks!
I have to ask though...all this hard work on an FD here in Canada and its a RHD?! I know people say its not much different but I cant figure that one out.
