U.S FD I need Day time lights??
I need to install day time running lights in my FD. I spoke with the dealer
and they will do it for around $200. Dose anyone have experience with this??
Or does anyone know where to get it done cheaper. Not that $200 is heavy but I know how dealers are. They said install time is just under 1 hour?
Thanks

if the dealer is quoting an hour, you could probably do it oyurself on 20 mins. The question is what is your time worth to you?
One of the benefits of having a dealer do it is, in cases where the guvvamint is saying you've gotta install something to be street-legal, you end up with a piece of paper from a certified shop saying that said item was in fact installed.

and don't forget the rebar!
Otherwise you're giong to be making 2 trips to the Canadian junk. Also, i heard somewhere that you have to buy a bolt for attacthing a babyseat restraint in the rear seat. Since you have no rear seats, canada transport just needs to see the bolt, like laying on a seat or something. Just have to have the bolt so they can check it off a list or soemthing.

Yes, you need to switch the US front bumber reinforcement bar for the Canadian spec unit. Whats the difference? US withstands a 3mile/hr collision, CDN handles 5 miles/hr. The switch will cost about $1,000 if you have someone install a new part. It requires taking the whole front bumber assembly off. You can do day time running lights at the same time.
You also need a child seat restraint bolt. I bought one for $4 at Canadian Tire and tossed it in the glove compartment.
