Trackday Comedy - FLATOUT
I laughed so hard at this, my eyes started to tear up. I am sure all you guys that lap or time attack your 7's have met this guy. I met him more than a few times when I was a CASC Director many years ago. Enjoy.

You haven't seen that movie? It has a 90 second car chase where two cars are side by side, and then at the end someone downshifts and wins.
lol, thanks a lot for sharing, i haven't been to any track days yet, but i hope i don't end up with an instructor like that.

Sometimes at some canadian autocrosses I feel like the Z06 guy.
I stopped attending a certain autox series when I found that even at 5MPH lined up dead on I could hit both cones in a gate at the same time in my FD. Hard to have fun when it's impossible to be on level ground.
CCM autocrosses in michigan restored my faith in autoX. Huge lots and completely navigable.
On the S2000/FD video: Had I never owned an FD I'd probably had bought an S2k. Too bad S2k's are SO SLOW below 6000rpm. I couldn't handle the lack of torque. I love these videos. My favourite one was called "the callout" but I can't find it anymore, it's gone

Terrh, you should come out here and run on a course I design I aim to have the narrow gates be 8m or more wide (wide enough most cars can go through sideways).
Regulation is that gates be min. 6m wide, btw. Even that's way too narrow - properly designed courses don't force cars to a specific path; you want to give driver's as much room as possible. That way, good drivers will pick a good, tight line to the key cones, and ignore everything else; less talented/experienced drivers will choose wide arcs and goofy paths.
