i want to get some track tires to throw on a spare set of stock 15 inch wheels.

not really too worried about pure performance, just that they don't cost too much, so i was thinking either getting some cheap UHP tires new, or some used r-compounds. preferably the latter though.

any advice? i haven't been able to find any used track tires...

Search and post on local car club forums, particularly those that would use stock 15" tires of similar or lesser total height.

 

best thing to do is go to track days when there is racing at mosport poeple will give tires away

 

as far as non-r's go, falken azenis sport's rock, and are CHEAP.

 

ok cool, i've posted on a local motorsport club site, and i'll try the CASC forum.

really i just want some tires i don't mind abusing on the track. doesn't have to be super sticky though since i'm still just starting out...
