im interested now, moar info on megasquirt V1 ? what do i need to change on my car/upgrade ?

 

Version 1 is pretty old school, it just controls the fuel. You have to build a stand alone ignition system to go with it. Not hard to do by any means though. The harness was wired nicely, has the factory plugs for the wiper motor and everything. I also have some other goodies to go along with it.

 

in total how much do you think i would have to be spending to get my car working on this system with a different ignition system ? i dont want to spend over 500 bucks just to fix my ecu problem when i can just buy a used stock ecu

I'll probably be bringing a bunch of stock stuff left over after a single turbo upgrade. Also a front bumper, R1 lip and 99 spec lip and a few other things.

I can get new windshields here if you can't find a decent used one (tough to remove without breaking) they're $136. If you want it let me know and I'll order it in before the meet.

I think she was asking about the windshield on my behalf (thanks lisa). I'm surprised, thought they would cost more. I'm going to take some close up's of my car because I need paint as well, and even though I already have a guy to do it, I'd like to see what kind of quote you might give me.

Regardless, I'll need a windshield, and let you know if I will pick it up during this meet, or before/after.

Lisa - I can price one out next week....I do have an FB here with a gas tank but I'd want to dump some fuel in it and see if it leaks or not. The car has a 12A.

Pnoy - no ECU it was sold with the engine from the car.

I was cleaning out the garage last week and I have a ton of stuff I want to bringto see if I can find some homes for it. Everything from ECU's, motor parts, suspension parts, etc.... I will bring one of the pigs along with me and let the guys who haven't seen them see the car. I just need to figure out which one........ Hmmmmm..... the FC RX7 Racecar or the World Challenge Cougar any ideas as to which one I should bring?

Cougars can be alot of fun, but I think the FC is in order for this event. Hopefully by that time my Rx-4 will be done for sure. I'll bring it for display too as long as I can find someone to drive my truck full of parts.
