Just a bump to remind anyone in the GTA that there is beer and steak for anyone that wants to stop by tomorrow around 11am to help out with an engine pull. Stop by just to say hi if you're in the area - even if you can't help out with the pull. It's always nice to meet the people from the forum and to see their cars. PM me for the address.
Thanks everyone

Thanks G-man for the hospitality!
I'm sorry I couldn't make it out sooner. Father's day gift took a bit longer than I anticipated.
Thankfully Racer Jason and Rathman were there to give you a hand.
We'll be there to put the engine into the other car...

Mission accomplished! It was great to finally meet some people from the forum, hear some of the stories and admire their cars up close and in person. Hey, I even learned a thing or two...like:
1) tinsnips are great for cutting stubborn oil hoses and AC tubing
2) a 2 ton crane is a bit overkill for a 13b engine pull
3) a set of deep sockets comes in really handy (a quick trip to CT solved this problem)
4) don't forget to take off the shifter & boot before dropping the tranny.
Thanks for everyone who stopped by to help and/or say hello (SavannaFC, RacerJason, Neo, Rathmar). I'd like to give an especially big thanks to Rathmar for his help. He didn't even want a beer until after the engine was completely clear of the engine bay. Safety first. Kids these days... :-)
Here are a couple of pics. The RB header was totally unexpected and a nice find at the end of a long day. Hopefully I can clean it up and reuse it.
I'll be recruiting help some day in the future to do the transplant.
Thanks again!!!

Good to see Neo the support team is there with the towel to wipe his brow when he gets a little sweaty from barking orders, and sipping on lady drinks.
Nice to see you got the engine out, still some good people on the forum.

G-Man and Rathmar are the ones who did all the work...
Racerjason and I got to the party a bit late. SavannaFC showed up just in time for the BBQ and drinks! lol
No worries... when you're ready to put the engine in the other car, we'll be there early this time around!

Thanks Gerrit for welcoming me to your home, and thanks to the rest of the guys for a great time and a bunch of good laughs. It's great to be able to meet forum members. I'm sorry I couldn't show up any earlier than I did, but it seemed you guys had everything under control already. I would have only gotten in the way.

Definitely a good time, didn't even take that long to get the engine out as g-man had taken most of the intake off by the time I got there. Nice to meet some new people off the forum as well; I'll definitely be there when the time comes to put it back into the other fb
