This car has definitely been a struggle with pretty much everything. The manifold took over 6 months to get made by Sean from Aspec. The car was an auto before and we got a new engine harness which was a manual and of course the connectors didn't work so i had to repin the harness to the old auto connectors and solder some wires as well as fix some random wiring that was done before. The turbo didn't fit because because the manifold wasn't a perfect copy of the old one and the housing was slightly different so I had to make a spacer to move the turbo over. Starter button didn't work anymore so had to hotwire the starter to start the car temporarily which I later fixed. The Innovate wideband we got was broken out of the box so that has to be warrantied. Just a bunch of a things kept cropping up unexpectedly. I guess the only good thing was that the front mount that was designed for twins worked with a change of the pipes and a 90' elbow although thats temporary until the pipes can be cut and welded for a straight/shorter shot to the turbo.
Anyway.... The first engine I rebuilt seems to be a success so far. Now just to finish up some things so it can be broken in and then tuned. I'm curious to see what rwhp my engine makes ^_^
The funny part is this engine was started after this RHD I bought and rebuilt within like 3 weeks lol. But its still a good feeling to have the "first" run finally. And it will feed better when boosting it
