Starter bolt size

Howdy boys. I've posted this in the 2nd gen section too but I usually don't get ANY help there. Does anybody here know the size and thread pitch of the lower starter bolt for my s4 n/a fc? I need to replace it and came up with nothing while searching.

For that matter, does anybody know the size of the nut for the tranny mount? Its the big one that screws onto that big bolt that sticks out from under the cross-member. It's an M12 and im thinking the thread pitch is 1.25 but if someone knows otherwise please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know the size, but Standard Auto wrecker might still have that blue FC there, you could get some part from. It's in the pick 'n' pull yard.

Ya i checked that thread, coldfire, and it really didn't say much about the size or thread pitch of the engine/tranny bolts.

Thanks guys for the responses. Maybe i'll just go to canadian tire and see if i can get lucky.

Losing bolts really SUCKS!!

yeah, just a note though, my CT recently changed their supplier to a US-based one, so now they mostly only carry SAE sizes instead of metric
don't know if that's for all CTs though...

i might have an extra one if you really need it. i'll take a look after work

Eh i found my old one but had a really really hard time putting it in there. Im just gonna take it to CT and see if i can match it up.

I noticed that their selection of metric sized bolts has gone down so if i can't find it at CT i go to brafasco. They're great man!

You'll find that's it M10x1.25x35mm
if you can't find it at CT in an 8.8 or higher and you want a good solid number 10 bolt, go to the ford parts counter.. they have bins of every size back there and they have no clue what to charge for them. so they give you a hand full for a cup of coffee or free if your story is good.
