Some pics from the Baltimore Grand Prix

Thought I would share a few of these as most of us here share the same passions for racing.
I also wanted to know how many of you guys & girls follow a particular racing series. I don't just mean time attacks and whatever but professional series like SCCA World Challenge, Trans-Am, American Le Mans, F1, Indy, etc. If not, WHY NOT?!

I follow most of the Pro Series, been fortunate enough to have raced in 3 Pro Series and have close friends who have World Challenge Cars and ALMS Porsches. I sat in the ex ALMS GMG 911 GT3RS on my last trip to Vancouver. Oh yeah, I have a World Challenge GTS car in my garage right now, LOL.

That aside, your photography is fantastic and truly at a very professional level. I think you should come to Mosport this weekend when Al and I are racing both of our cars at the same time. I would love to have some really artistic shots of the cars on track and in the pits. Of course, you could have whatever access you would require as I would sign you on as crew and you could then go anywhere, even right on to the pit wall when the cars are on track.

Its the BEMC Indian Summer Trophy Races. There is a full schedule of classes both days with everything from Formula Vee to Trans Am cars. There is also the 3 Hour Enduro Saturday late afternoon. I was going to enter it, but ce la vie......

Al and I are going to run in the 2 GT4/5/6 races on Sunday. He will be running his car and I will be running mine.

It would be great if you could squeek out some time as your skill is really at the professional level.

Great photos!
Road racing is my fav. I will be off to the Petite LeMans in two weeks...then to the Rolex 24 in late January. i am going to add more Rolex 24 pics to my gallery here.
This is a photo from the same Mosport weekend last year. I keep asking my buddies why my WRX doesn't belch flames like this. A few said that it did but i can't see them. Most of them said it was because I was not driving it hard enough!

lol Anees if you really want to get involved and come out and watch/support events like ALMS and World Challenge at Mosport you can join facebook pages... they seem to be the best way to stay updated these days and then when you want more info click links to go to the websites. Add Circuit Soul on facebook

And Eric I dunno if I can afford to replace the things I would destroy on your car when I go offroading exiting corner 2 (that's just a prediction of the first place I would fly off the track) LOL... I will try to convince 2Fierce to come with me so we can split up and I'll get some time on Sunday to head over.. officially i SHOULD be at Sigma lol.

Great pictures! When i was younger i was more devoted to watching racing on tv, but with a job and another job and many projects and a girlfriend, and SPEED moving from regular cable to digital, i don't have time to catch much now. I use to be huge into the WC TC and GT, rallying, I still go to the Tall Pines Rally every november.

and bah, T2 is the least of your problems, usually you stay modest there, turn3 is the real bastard! :P

^ you should!
It all has to start somewhere and I started my first motorsports photography at the CSCS season finale in 2010... if you focus on learning and improving and take it more seriously than a hobby, people will notice.

I agree that anyone can improve knowing more about the technical aspects of photography, but it still takes an "Eye" to get great shots. In amongst all the technical aspects, there is still the artistic talent that differentiates the decent from the good. I believe that a great photo has to evoke a mood or a feeling and a number of your shots do that. I believe that the Flying Lizards shots and the starting pack shot and the Falken Porsche shots are pretty special, the framing and backlighting and the clarity....wow.

Great work.
