ON So I finally did it - bought my first Rotary

Hey guys!

After 4 Zeds and 11 years of being a Z-guy, I finally did it, I bought the car I always wanted but was never in a position to aquire.

My 1993 VR Touring (yes, I know it needs a good polish!)

So when's that spring meet?

Now to sell my 350Z...

Welcome to the club!

here's a welcome change. Usually all I've been seeing is people getting rid of rotaries.

Bravo!!

This - this is what I'm terrified of to be honest lol.

They're very different beasts. Zs are heavy GT cars, my 300ZX is still the nicest shifting car I've ever driven, very positive feel to the transmission, but at the same time it feels very slick. The 300ZX has the smoothest piston engine. The 350Z is rougher by nature of its larger displacement and the 370z is downright coarse - to the point that I don't enjoy driving it. They're all very nice handling cars, the 370Z feels the sharpest on turn in, but the 350Z sound best stock. Out of all of them the 300ZX TT is probably my favorite.

The RX-7 is gorgeously light, has more comfortable seats than all but the 300ZX TT, but has more body roll than the 350Z. That said, the Zs have much much larger cabins and more sensible storage options. They're also bulletproof - no matter what ianyone says.

and as well , there really is a conservation law at play . while no new FD's are created , there are none really lost , just a change of state . So be the laws of the universe.

Unless you take into consideration those that are written off in MVCs....

When are we all getting together for a cruise night or similar? Is there usually a yearly show and shine similar to Z-fest etc?

That isn't just a track-day... we're having our spring meet there too.
Sigma Time Attack (to watch, in your case)
Spring Meet
Gran Turismo 5 tournament
Food (I think, since it's Sigma)

Did you buy this from an older guy who lives in Whitby? That first pic looks a lot like his garage...

Unfortunately with the amount of 7s in the GHA there is not much in the area of cruise nights. Some will try to get together occasionally for coffee, but for some (married old farts like me) its hard to find the time.

I did tell myself id try to get out more this year as my friend just bought himself a Porche....your more then welcome to do the same.
