Haha yeah there's a smart car near me I see once in a while.

Your image reminds me of Mr. Bean and his hatred for 3-wheeled cars... Only in a less comical fashion =S

Shame people have nothing better to do >.> Kind of disgusting, really

I like the part where the guy says "they can get fingerprints and other evidence from the car!" Well guess what - they can, but they wont. As a victim of senseless vandalism, I can say that the cops don't give a **** is nobody was hurt. You fill out a police report over the phone and call your insurance - that's it.

Vandalism drives me crazy. Let's hope these guys do something else stupid and get caught.

Well, the cops DID take prints, the pi$$ed off owner published a reward, and sure enough the little ****** did some bragging. One of the perps is over 18, too.

Still...anyone know what the 'tridion' thingy is?

BTW it has 4 wheels, not 3.

Glad to hear the cops bothered - and especially that someone's been nabbed. I know when my previous sports car was stolen 12 years ago in Calgary, they never even looked at it - it was towed in off a reserve west of town where it had been high centred in a field, and ultimately returned to me (after repairs to the tune of $5000) - full of stolen car stereos, radar detectors, and some pot (no, it was not mine!). I'm pretty sure between the car and the stolen stuff in it the cops could have lifted a print or two - but didn't. It was pretty obvious to my untrained eye that three people had been in the car.
Mr. Bean liked to overturn those three wheel cars you can see in England - hence the link to this case, minus the humour.

I'm sorry, but that's just funny. It's a car. It's just some folded metal. It'll be fine.

Cars can be fixed, people can't.

The three wheeled cars are made by a company called Reliant, and are called Robins.

And yes, they are THAT bad! There was a lottery in England a few years back where the grand prize was a Reliant Robin. Second prize was 2 of them!

I'm glad to hear that they got caught.

Yes, it was funny. I laughed at it too - but that doesn't make it right. It's always funny when it's someone else. Feds, I'm sure that if you came out of your house and found your freshly painted car full of live squirrels you wouldn't find it funny - but a pic on the internet would get some laughs! But I get your point - it's a car, it can be fixed.

Our car got fixed, but we still had to pay the deductable.

I couldn't help but laugh... Feel bad for the owner a little, vandalism always sucks, just a good thing no one was hurt... But holy ****! Everytime I see one of those little things on the road I havbe thought, those look easy to tip, and I bet two people could easily tip that ****... Opening that picture I couldn't help but laugh my *** off...

The Tridon is what Smart calls the saftey cell. I think the kids that did this should have a Smart tipped over on top of them. I can't stand vandalism. I've driven a Smart car and liked it.

LOL! Live squirrels! Good thing you're in Ottawa. Otherwise I'd have to make sure I kept the car in the garage!

oh man, that sucks. Reminds me of when someone tipped over my basketball net, the thing cost me $1500, they left a hole the size of 2 basketballs in the backboard. Never had time/money to fix it, its damn hard to find plexiglass if you don't have time..lol Man, poor car. I'm not gonna lie, I laughed when I first saw it. But then I read the story and I shed a tear...

While I do feel bad for the owner, and I do hate vandalism, it couldn't help but laugh at the pic...

Tipping for 2?

Not to be too mean, but finally owners of classic VW Bugs can breath a sigh of relief...There's a new kid in town and it's his turn to get picked on.

All kidding aside it is a funny sight, I just wouldn't want it to happen to me.

It really wouldn't take much to flip any car or SUV. As such it must have been a bunch of skinny punks trying to be strong or something, I find no humour in vandalism and would be willing to help educate these transgressors in life, to the effect of ensuring that they will not be able to flip over any more cars…or get out of their newly purchased wheel chairs. Just my 2 cents.
