My impression of the Phoenix when I was there years ago wasn't that great.... It was dirty, the air was disgusting...

Just got an email from one of the girls driving down with us, and this is what she heard of in terms of places to go. What do you think?

1. Easy & the 5th
2. Sea Lounge
3. This is London
4. Fluid

'Fluids' is a disco bar. Or at least they were 6 years ago.

I will be at Ian's Saturday during the day, you should stop by. We can make fun of Ian, he loves that...
If one of you come and pick me up I'll be there. I don't have a car all weekend as the wife is going to be outta town. Well to be accurate, I don't have a car I can use!

I'll be back in Ottawa on Sunday, just going out Saturday night... Maybe Friday too if we're not too tired from the drive.

Fluid- top 40, crowd is hot
Money - top 40, Rnb, hot crowd also
Easy on the 5th - never been but heard good things, older crowd also 23+
Joe (formerly Whisky Saigon) - bah
Mink - dance, top 40, hot
Pearl - top 40, RnB, gets crowded
Inside - RnB, top 40, hot
Gspot - dance, Rnb, top 40
Indian Motorcycle - top 40, dance, nice crowd

My suggestions to you would be Indian Motorcycle or Easy on the 5th.

Well, sticking to the speed limit, it's five hours along the 401... If you take Highway 7, it will be a lot shorter.

I have done the trip in three hours though along the 401, so it depends on how fast you drive.

I don't blame them.... You do know that 1/2 the stores there still aren't open. But if you like fishin' then you are all set!

Easy and the 5th is a pretty swanky place.

Older mature crowd for sure, but dress code (at least when i was there) and impossible to get in.

We were on a guest list for a party the one time we got in.

A month later, we tried just walking up and we couldnt get in.
It wasnt even a line type thing, just a crowd, and the bouncers were pulling people that THEY wanted in the club...

If you wanna go there, I would call them and see if you can get people on the guest list. If not, we better show up there at noon

You want to spend money? Go to Yorkville's Sassafraz. Last time I was there I met Lawrence Fishbourne. Celebrities staying In Toronto always find themselves In this district. Depends what you want and how much money you want to spend.

Because we're talking about places to go in actual Toronto, that meet a certain criteria which Le Skratch does not meet.
