SK Is it safe to drive a 3000km trip with my car?

I am planning to take a 3000km drive back to Toronto before the snow to visit my friends and family and drop the car off in Toronto for the winter to get some work done. But my concern is will my car survive the trip or will i be ended up paying a couple thousand dollars towing bill?

My main concern is the 10psi boost i am running with a stock turbo (can't lower it more because of the exhaust). Currently the car seems to be running fine after all the replacements and repairs. It is running 13.5~13.8 on idle and cruising, and a flat 11.5 once boost kicks in all the way to 7k. Are these AFR numbers safe for a long trip?

Current spec on the car:

88 T2
S5 T2 engine (shows good numbers on all 6 faces)
550/720 injector
stock S5 turbo
stock TMIC
stock S4 ECU
FPR
manual boost controller
safc neo + aem wideaband
3" corksport full exhaust
new OEM T-stat
new OEM oil seals (every seal you can name underneath the car from the oil pan all the way to rear end)

Only Tacho and Speedo works on the cluster but i have a set of autometer gauges installed already for boost, water temp, and oil pressure.

The fuel gauge... can't get a hold of the sending unit yet and dealer said is discontinued. I watched the milage and filled up the tank, did the math the car is currently running around 350km per tank with both combine city and highway driving.

brakes, clutch, steering, suspensions, etc... are all fine

The car dyno'd 220 on wheel running on 10psi if that matters.

The only things thats in my mind right now is i might ran out of fuel and not knowing it, and once i get into Ontario i will get pull over by those OPP

If you want to play it safe don't boost but as long as your car is in working order and is tuned properly there is no reason its any less safe then any other car.

I've been to Florida, stayed their for 2 months, went to Chicago, and came home. The only thing that happened was my OEM radiator cracked so I replaced with a Koyo at a shop that deals with rotaries (looked it up on rx7club).

Also, went to the DGRR which is in North Carolina, ran the GAP and came home.

This year, went to the DGRR again, went up and down the GAP all day for 2 days straight. Then went down to the Florida keys with Ian and Joe (ClassicAuto), all driving RX-7's and we made it their and back.

It's just a car, drive it.

go over everything rubber on the car. belts, hoses, tires etc. aged rubber is typically one thing that'll end a trip because people never pay attention to it.

And yes its a car, it damn well should run for 3000kms. Generally speaking a road trip is going to be the easiest miles you'll ever put on the car (presuming you don't drive like a hormone rich teenager) because you're just sitting on the highway at ~3Krpm staring at the road.

I think your biggest issue is going to be Manitoba. Those prairies will put an insomniac to sleep. Take the 17 after you clear Thunder Bay. It pretty much runs the shoreline of the lakes and is a fantastic drive, at least in the 18 wheeler I drive. I can only imagine it would be a lot more fun in a 7. Don't go over 110 through northern Ontario and you'll be fine. Figure out how much mileage you've put on your car through the course of your onwership. You'll realize 3000 highway KM isn't even going to make it breathe hard. Take it easy, enjoy the scenery and you'll be fine. Final tip, get CAA. it'll be worth the $100.
