Last summer, I tried to get RX-7 owners interested in pooling our money to at least make an offer on the parts in the warehouse. I have had little response. It looks like the cars in the yard and the parts in the warehouse will be sold for scrap value. If anyone is interested in joining me to make an offer on the parts, now is the time. The parts and cars will be sold/crushed/gone as of Jan. 5/07.

Walter I would be up to doing this with you and other rex owners for sure. Money would be the only issue..but the bank is always a drive away lol. But anyways, my 7 has been sitting for 2 years because I just bought an 01 protege for cheap for my winter car and when its paid off I will be dropping money into the rex.
So anyone who needs parts for thier 7 this is an awesome chance.

I had the opportunity to check out the warehouse of parts and the cars...I definatly wasn't impressed. All this internet hype about how many parts there was and how its all worth money. To be honest it's pretty much all scrap. Any parts that may have been useable have been damaged from moisture and and just sitting around too long.
The landlord seems to think he has a gold mine, which is far from the truth. Most of the cars in the yard are rotted and would take some serious body work to make them road legal again.

I sent a private message to Misterstyx69, so I won't go into a lot of detail here, but some other members and I am still negotiating a price for the parts with the landlord. If we need some financial assistance from other RX-7 members, we will advise.
If successful in getting the parts, not all the parts may be usable. Those will be scrapped. However, I am certain there is value in many of the parts in the warehouse. I am not thinking about getting the cars from the yard, as many are too far gone to be of value.
I should know in a few days what we are offering the landlord. We may or may not be successful in our offer, but will try to buy the parts at scrap value. That way, if parts have to be scrapped, or if selling the parts as a part-time business is not viable, then we will sell everything as scrap. That would be unfortunate, but it takes time and effort to run a business.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you all!
