AB Rx-7 shop in canada

I'm planning on replacing the engine right when I buy the rx-7 for a new one. I was wondering if anyone knew a mechanics shop which would install the engine for me. So it's done professionally. I live in Edmonton Alberta.

PM fourkruzn here on rx7club since he's the local rotary guru. He has personally owned and rebuilt more RX-7s than anyone I've ever met. His schedule is usually packed so it's best to contact him ASAP. Also has almost every RX-7 part available since he has owned/parted/sold so many cars.

He is in the west, I doubt this list will help him. Should put that 4kruzn guy on there.

Not trying to start a war.

You'd be wise to stay as far away from Adam and RX-7 Specialties as possible. Some have been happy over the years, but I've seen nothing but **** come out of that place.

What does that matter? Lots of the people who recommend him do so based on work preformed years ago, so why can't someone who doesn't recommend him do the same?

Again I'm not looking for a fight here. I'm not going to go into detail about stuff I've seen both in the past and recent cause this thread will end like all the others. Believe me, much to my surprise he's still in business so he must be making some people happy.

However I can't in good conscience recommend RX-7 Specialties to anyone, my opinion is that you'd be best to stay away. It's up to the OP whether my opinion should carry any weight.

Well your opinion doesn't carry any with me that's for sure!

Adam has always been forthcoming and fair with me and anyone I know of who has dealt with RX7 Specialities.

He does business all across Canada and the US with vehicles being sent to him from everywhere, for engine swaps, builds, etc. etc. He is exactly who I would recommend, and is one of the best around, now and in the past.

Take advantage of such a great resource and amazing shop being close to you!

Oh for the love of God!!!

I'm glad you have received excellent service, based on that service you felt you should recommend to the OP he get work done there. I have no issue with that.

Based on the service and craftsmanship I've received and seen I can not recommend the OP get work done there. Why can't you accept that? Yikes man relax.

I can't believe this still goes on. Anyone says anything negative about Adam or RX-7 Specialties and all the supporters go off the deep end! Listen I know Adam walks on water in your mind but those of us who live in the real world understand he hasn't provided top notch service to everyone. I'm clearly in the minority when it comes to my opinion on the subject and the OP should take that into consideration.

Now make sure you give him a shout tomorrow to let him know about this thread lol!!!

Cool. Another person who's been happy with their service. Again I'm trying my hardest to not get into details, it just starts a major **** storm. I've seen things in torn down motors of his that have influenced my statements both past and recent. The quality of workmanship on things other than motors that comes out of his shop is largely influenced by the mechanic he has on staff at the time. I was never personally happy with work done on my car there but that was many years ago. He may have a top notch mechanic in their now. If so great.

Listen I don't own a shop, I don't work at the competition. I'm just an enthusiast who has seen enough that in my opinion others should stay away and spend their money elsewhere.

I don't recommend people take their cars there or get him to build them a motor, and people act like I raped their mothers lol!. It's just a car people, just a car.

OP, you should talk to Conroy at 4kruzn. He'd be able to hook you up, and hes local to you in Edmonton.

What drama Gary? Seriously?

I want to be VERY clear. If people have received great service from Adam and RX-7 Specialties then they should post that. I hope everyone that takes their car there or has him build a motor feels as happy about the experience as you and Fortune do! He's been in business a long time, that must say something. That is truly how I feel. Any drama there?

On the flip side of that coin though is that if people feel they have not had a great experience they should also post. The problem is (and what you guys have done to me in this thread is the perfect example) if someone posts ANYTHING negative about Adam or his shop people jump down their throat and that's not right. I find out about these threads because numerous individuals send me messages making me aware of them. Individuals who "lurk" this forum and won't post for exactly the reason I mentioned. Is that drama?

Yes I have very specific criticism of Adam and his shop, but I have refrained entirely from rehashing it. I treat threads like this as follows. I pretend that the OP is a family member, and I ask myself this question "After seeing what you've seen with your own eyes over the years could you in good conscience recommend Adam and his shop?" The answer is no I could not. Is that drama?

I dunno, i deal with adam on a regular basis and he's been more then pleasant with me. IF he has time, sometimes its just to stop by and see how things are going.

I've dealt with many people over the years on the subject of rotaries. the good ones i go back to, the bad ones i distance myself from but i still keep an open mind about them without talking ****.
maybe its just me but unless someone asks me directly about a specific shop it's usually "don't say anything at all if you can't say anything nice"

That's a fair statement. I re-read my first post it probably didn't help, I said I didn't want to start a war but the tone of that post gave a different impression all together. That's on me, I guess I'm so used to a battle I came out swinging before the bell. I took a jab at Gary too that I didn't need to, not on this matter anyways I have other issues with him but they are unrelated to the topic at hand.

Let me try this again. In regards to the question posed by the original poster.

I don't recommend RX-7 Specialties
