RX-7 history
Some of you know that my old man used to be a new car salesman for a Mazda dealer in Toronto from 1979-1981, thats pretty much how I got into owning and building Rotaries.
My parents were cleaning up some old paperwork last weekend and came across some Mazda documents my Dad saved when he worked there.
Here are 4 original sales brochures from 1980 for the RX-7, all in immaculate condition.
And then they found a huge stack of sales receipts from all the cars my Dad sold in 1981
I picked out a few interesting ones that shows what some of the options were worth back then and the list pricing for a brand new 1981 RX-7.
One shows a lease quote for an RX-7 valued at $389.66 per month! in 1981!?! That was a pile of money back in the day!
Enjoy!

That's really cool. I love that the RX7 was being "upgraded" with an automatic and pin striping... ahh 1981.
I love that stuff. You should put up any other interesting ones you find.

Hey Ray, my Dad said he'd be willing to sell a couple of the brochures. He wants to get $60 each for them. Seems to be the going rate, I paid $70 for a 1987 RX-7 brochure.
Aaron, I guess I could have one scanned at a printing place? I'm not sure. My scanner at home is small and weak. lol

Most printing places will scan, but it will probably cost $100. As long as your home scanner is a flatbed and will scan at 150 DPI or greater, you'll be fine. You just need to experiment a little with settings because glossy stuff is hard to get a good image on.
