RX-7 Heaven Impounded Cars
Hi everyone,
I posted earlier today under 'RX-7 Parts -- Urgent'. It has just come to my attention that some cars belonging to club members may be in the yard. If so, contact me with the particulars (year, model, VIN, colour, etc.) and I will notify the landlord. He acknowledges that some of the cars are owned by individuals, and he is planning to release the cars once he finds out who they are.
I will be in touch with the landlord by Thursday morning. If I can give him a list, that would greatly help in getting your car back to you.
Look in the newspaper under the classifieds. The sale of RX-7 Heaven assets will be listed over the next few days.

All parts are unclaimed since they were the property of RX-7 Heaven. Most of the cars in the yard are also their property. Those people who brought in their cars for service and had them seized have a valid claim to get their cars back.
I don't have a list of parts, but it is substantial. I have photos, but I'm having trouble sending them out to the members as one big package. If I find out how to post the pics on this site, I will certainly do so.

Didn't see any RX-3s in the yard. Mostly 1st gen, some 2nd gen, 1 3rd gen (which has disappeared)

RX-7 Impounded Cars -- URGENT !!!
I just got off the phone with the landlord, and told him that I cannot buy the cars in the yard or the parts without some financial backing. However, from his comments, the deal may not yet be dead. We will talk in the near future, and I'll keep everyone updated.
In have been composing a list of those RX owners whose cars or parts have been seized by the sheriff. I tried to give the list to the landlord, but he stated that it's not his job to identify the cars or parts for the owners. He told me the owners have to do the following:
Keep your eyes on the classifieds of the major newspapers and look for details of the seizure. Contact him (the landlord) once you have a copy of your car registration and drivers license. Phone him to find out what the next step is.
The bad news is that he will charge you $10 per day since July 18th for storage to get your car back. I don't agree with this charge, but I'm not in control here. I don't know how much flexibility he would have in waiving this charge, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I know you guys are probably seething with rage at this point, but I URGE YOU TO BE POLITE AND STATE YOUR CASE WITHOUT LOSING YOUR TEMPER. You may get some satisfaction in tearing a strip off him, but the next RX owner trying to get his car back will get very little or no assistance. I once had a motorcycle seized for the very same reason, and I can relate to what you're feeling.
I don't think anyone's cars are going to be crushed in the next little while, but I would move on this immediately. Again, if you know of anyone with a car or parts in the compound, contact them and let them know so they can get their property back.
The landlord's name is Sal Khan and his office # is 613-599-7766. His cell # is 613-882-1114.

Its on bank street, in north gower. If you're in ottawa head south on bank way way past hunt club (about 15min) and its on the right hand side... cant miss it. 100s of rxs sitting there. Including an interesting seafoam green rx-2.. needs ALOT of work though. Too bad. If i havent missed the boat, i might go pick up what i can (new housings to be ported, for example)
