rotary schools?

I was wondering if anyone knows a school in Ontario that works with and teaches about rotary engines, I have been looking into this for a while now and have come up dry. It doesn't necessarily need to be a collage, even a online course would be nice to find. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck.... hands on practice at your own expense is the only way to learn.

I don't think there's a school anywhere that will teach you rotary stuff. The best I've seen/heard is where a teacher randomly mentions the rotary as an interesting side topic, then proceeds to say that it's cool but follows that up with badmouthing about reliability and such.

But honestly I just replied so that I could mix my avatar with a topic where the OP is Robert Paulson.

My friends dad teaches at a college near Belleville. He did one or two classes, and they tore a rotary down to see the insides. Don't recall the extent of knowledge they gained, probably just alot of ooohing and ahhhing.

In the automotive program that I'm in they just discuss the rotary as an alternative engine, and then like Aaron said they just start badmouthing it. One of the older retired teachers there used to work at a Mazda dealer back in the day when the rotary first came out. He had some awesome stories about driving the Cosmo 110S when it first came out. (Yea he's that old). So I learned a bit from him, and he also enjoyed playomg around with my car. He used to own a FC. The best way to learn is just get a RX7, start playing with it and just start hanging around fellow rotary owners. It's amazing how much you will learn in a year or two.
