Ok, I've re-thought this. I can't let this 7 go back. I'm already in love with it and I can't bare to let it go to waste... I guess I'm going to be putting many hours or work into. I guess I'm going to need help again lol.

Sounds like a great opportunity to build the car into what it could be rather than just return it to original spec!

very true. Too bad you gotta pay to play though lol. I'd go all out if I had the extra money kicking around.
Anyway, have any of you removed the solenoid rack? I think the previous owner attempted to removed the so called "Rats Nest" but didn't do it 100% correctly.

Hey guys, sorry i couldnt make it out there. My car was leaking oil really bad and I needed to get it fixed before I could drive to moose jaw with it. It is fixed now though and running great.
Really sorry I missed it, I hope mostly everyone else showed up and you all had a lot of fun.

Well...it was somewhat, ahem, "lightly" attended: Tobias and friend, L-Spec and friend and myself. We had a grand total of 2 cars in attendance; Lucky's white N/A and my black TII. At least they looked kind of neat parked together.
Anyway, we had a nice meal and a good chat, checked each other's cars out, and that was about it.
Many thanks to Jordan (Tobias) for setting everything up and doing the best he could herding the cats : ) Those of us who were able to attend enjoyed it; hopefully next time we'll be able to get a few more people together.

From what I understand, people didn't have vehicles/made other plans. Location is hardly an issue. I, for one, enjoyed the trip out there and back. In all honesty, if this past "meet" was held in Regina, it would probably still be only the three rotary owners and friends.

I would of went if it was in regina and im sure a few otheres would prob have too. Location makes a big difference as far as im concerned. I cant exactly ditch my family to go to some other town for supper. So if we ever have one in regina let me know, other then that I dont think id travel much to meet a few rx-7's even though I love em.

is it on sat or sun? and what time? my FD might not be running in top shape but maybe ill go not sure, will see. Would be fun, but i might rather want to surprise the people with a 20b in the 600 plus horse range later on. :p

You guys are very welcome. I'd do it all again, even if only one other showed up. It was neat just seeing some more RX7s around, and the talks where invaulable for an inexperianced rotor head like me :P Next one in Regina? Sounds like a plan. You guys should have seen our cars parked together though, it was funny.
I parked before any of them, and some how they both parked right beside me. What was I driving though? My saturn

A stock 79 has 100 hp and tests at the time had it getting to 60 in about 9-10 seconds, so no, 1st gens are not terribly fast when stock, but they do give you quite a bit to work with. With a 79 coming from Ontario, I suspect you'll have to deal with a lot of rust problems before you start worrying to much about speed ; )
