thats awesome lol and thats not the only reason the prelude couldent keep up either lol it was mainly because it has pisssed ones but theres more to it lol....we need to get a meet goin...my car is totaled and i need a few days notice because of work but lets try and work something out ill need about a week or so because my ports where sticking on my 13b so i have to take the sleeves out of the motor and i need some time ill let u know when im done and lets get a meet organized

rx7 obbsessed, ya man i remember you good to hear from you... and to the guy who knows i f@#$ked my bumper, yeah... i was awake for 36 hours, and i tottally forgot about that curb and yeah... however, good thing cuz i taught myself how to fibreglass and bondo the thing together and right now shes getting painted will be done thurs. soon as i get these dawm head lights i can get her plated, and it was not accually 15, but by the time u drive to BC, pay gas, hotels, food, GST, PST and any other miscillanious things i blew 15 G's but its worth it, the things got worse then stock exhaust right now ( has to be leagal to safty, big mufflers=fail) and she still scares the hell out of me. anyways seriously, meeting... whos down???? lets get as many of us there as possible and see what comes up. by the way, how did u know i wrecked my bumper... god that was embarrassing...

Lol blackpanther, you talk to a girl i was friends with that apparently dated you or something named Kristy. She told me.. then i saw your car in Regina.. and i put 2 and 2 together... well actually i think i saw pics of it on facebook!
That's unfortunate.. but as long as she gets safetied that's all that matters.
I think im about 14000 deep in parts alone on my car.. but i love having an FC that can spank a lot of cars on our roads!!
Anyways i will be down for a meet sometime. I should have my car with new paint back from the body shop and have my engine in by wednesday! Just name a date and where and i will see what i can do!

Well no sense letting the greatest Regina thread to date die so I may as well post an update:
I went to SGI today and registered the Rx7. The driveshaft is in and everything is good to go except for two transmission wires, adding a breather filter to the airpump (which I bought today) and starting it (which may be a little tricky).
The gas has been sitting for close to 10 months so that makes me a little nervous so I bought some Lucas Oil octane booster. This stuff is supposed to actually do something...whether it does will wait to be seen as other ones that say "3 point octane boost" are basically BS because it takes 3 points to equal 1 number (so a 3 point octane boost means your gas hits 87.3 octane)...anyway...I wish the previous owner would have left it on pretty much empty, but there is 3/4 of a tank so I can't just dump the gas in the alley. I had started it successfully about 3 weeks ago so I am hoping it won't be too much work. It has been a couple of years since I have drive a 7 so this is pretty darn exciting.
Anyway, does anyone else have any updates? Also, who is going to be around this weekend with an Rx7. I am hoping mine might be good to go.

Well, she runs and drives. I took her for a spin on the weekend and it was amazing. However, I think the driveshaft I got needs some work as it vibrates like a frigger above 50km/h when I let off the throttle, coast, or put it in neutral. Also, there is a massive coolant leak somewhere I have to find, but otherwise she runs like a champ.
However, I am desparate need of a Turbo hood...if anyone knows where I can find one, please let me know! I would rather not frontmount the stock intercooler. I could make my own hood scoop, but that probably wouldnt' look the best. If you guys see something, please let me know.

hey guys just a little update since everyone else is doing it...just ogt back from the wedding i work all week but lets try and make some plans and get a meet going.... my SE is still totaled and my GXL still needs a motor....the SE is currently getting the aux ports redone by yours truely. and the gxl is just getting dirty...keep your eyes peeled for a motor good luck with ur licence man...hope u get the young blond chick you will pass...i know i did lol

i already contacted him and the housing is damaged and i think from his discription the rotor is 2 and he still wants 200 bux for it...no thanks..lol but thanks for the link...and L-Spec i soo say u at canadian tire july10th at 9 25 pm i was standing by the door stairing at your car lol the kid with the black foose hat

Hey KENN, for a T2 motor, I got mine from http://www.torontojdm.com. They were alright to deal with, but they do compression test their motors before they send them to you. Also, they have this thing on their site that says they only warranty the engine for 30 days if professionally installed with receipts, but I just sent an email letting him know that there weren't any good rotary mechanics around here, that my father and I had been working on rotaries for 5 years and that if he wouldn't offer the warranty if I installed it myself, I would have no choice but to choose a competitor. Karim (I think he is the owner) sent me an email back saying "I will give you a month warranty + one month to drive the car" so that was pretty good. The motor seems pretty good and he only charged me around $190 bucks to ship the whole longblock to my door.
Also, about your S4, does it just crank over with nothing, or is it atleast sputtering a little? Have you tried to unflood it or push-start it? Have you checked all of your fuses? If air, fuel, and spark are really there, then something should happen.
As for me, I took the car for a spin last night and found the coolant leak. Now my car actually stays at 1/3 on the heat scale when I am stopped . I hooked up my boost gauge and it seems to be pulling a solid 5 PSI at half throttle up to 4k RPMs where I let off. Overall, I think this is going to be such a sweet car. The little bit of boost I have felt on the rotary engine is amazing. Now I just have to figure out what the heck to do with the driveshaft as it shakes my car like crazy at higher speeds, frontmount the intercooler or find a turbo hood, and fix an exhaust leak/get a turboback exhaust. Does anyone know anyone at a shop that could hook me up with frontmounting an intercooler and making some exhaust? Let me know.

do they do porting there too?

Hey KENN, it could be that the ECU has crapped out. I had a bad ECU that would just sputter trying to start and always seemed so close to starting, but wouldn't. Tried another ECU and BAM, she fired up really easily. Not saying for sure, but it could be something to try.
As for the T2 engine, mine cost $1450 shipped to my door if I remember correctly. They don't do porting as they just import the Japanese engines.

I used the S4 wire harness so I had to get an S4 throttlebody, MAF, and Boost sensor, but other than that it had everything. Complete assembled longblock with tranny, manifolds, alternator, PS, AC, TMIC, Turbo, Coils, ECU...you name it. You will need a haynes manual and either the Turbe driveshaft and rear end, or an autoamtic transmission, or get the Mazdatrix Turbo tranny to N/A rear end driveshaft. Really, all in all, I put $2500 into the project after all the couple of extra parts, the little things you need, fluids, and minor fixes.

ya kenn ur gonna need an new ECU its wut ime did when i bought it that or just replace the coils....its not if it has spark but how strong the spark is. you can have spark but not strong enough to start the motor.
