Ready To Fire

Ready To Fire
Well, we finally got the new "bullet" in the race car. We pretty much changed everything along the way while we had it apart. From the new ACT 4-puck race clutch/pressure plate, to the water pump everything is fresh. This new Brideport should be awesome with the "little tricks" that were done. We hope to fire it up for the 1st time on Sunday and make sure everything is okay before we run it on the dyno for an hour or 2. We need to run the new engine on petroleum based oil for the first 5 hours and stay under 6,000 RPM, after the initial dyno run we will change the oil and go to the track for another 3 hours or so of lapping at low RPM (how boring is that?!) After that we will put it the good oil (20W50 Redline) and then back to the dyno for a couple of 10,000 RPM pulls and get our horsepower numbers. Then race season can begin!

Jason all I know is that they are turbo housings. Mr. Manning didnt tell me much else except that he tried a few new tricks so to speak. The rotors are light weight high complression etc. As for the dyno numbers it will be a while before we have any as we still have to break it in which will hopefully be in March sometime, weather permitting of course.

I have a turbo one here if you want. Did not realize there is a difference? It's almost on its way to the garbage.
