Re-Registering car to exclusion zone (Emissions)

My car will be needing tags come May and I will not be able to pass emissions testing.
I want to re-register the car to a cottage property the family owns outside of the emissions zone.
What do you guys think will be required to do this. When registering a car to a different address does it have to be the one on the owners drivers liscence?
Do you guys think this plan will work to side step the damn emmsions testing?
lets hear some opinions on what may pose some problems?
Thanks

All that matters is the registered owners driver's license. Move to the cottage, you'll be fine.

I would think that your insurance rates would drop as well.

yeah

your address should be the cottage one!

make sure when you get pulled over you tell them you live there though.

Insurance charges different rates depending on where the car will be on the roads. Toronto is a higher risk area than say Bruce county. Therefore, my rates are lower here than they would be if I registered my car in Toronto. Keep in mind though, that your driving record and number/type of claims made, have an even larger impact on your insurance rate.
