Re-kindled rotary spirit.

Re-kindled rotary spirit.
Today on my way from home I went to a shop beside my work. For the first time ever I got to hold brand new racing beat peripheral ported housings, new rx-8 rotors, racing beat headers/exhaust system, intake system etc etc. This guy is building a killer FC for casc-or. I was hanging out the oshawa motorsports club Vice president and taking about racing while looking at these parts and listening to the owner talk about his build just rekindled what I almost thought I lost in the last couple of months. Can't wait for this season. So many enthuisists its gonna be fun.
Also talked with the owner of the dyno shop beside my work about dynoing and then about the targa newfoundland. Awesome! Scored three pulls on the dyno for $75 with A/F! Cheaper if I can get more people to come.
All and all can't believe that 1 min away I have everything. Dyno, hard core car people and people interested in rotarys. Awesome! (Mazdee's is just around the corner too!)

I guess I forgot to mention that I will get the dyno for $75. I will be dynoing the car this time at low boost. The boost that I will be running for solosprint.
Probable in three weeks.

(trust me i do not want to put a rollbar in my car. Makes the whole rear trunk useless but them the rules.)
So why is it zoom zoom boom? Did you blow your motor? I'd say that that motor held up to alot of abuse over the years............... you can't complain

Believe me Ian I know how much work is involved in preparing a car, even one that is already prepared! We hopefully will be breaking in our new engine this weekend. I have rented Sunset Speedway for Sunday and we can spend 5 hours driving a 3/8 mile oval around at under 6000rpm! Then its back to the shop to drain all the fluids and get the car ready for our 1st test day April 8th at Shannonville. Then back to the shop, drain everything service the brakes reset the alignment and then off to Mosport for a test there. I think once you get on the track competitively you will have a hunger for more! Then it really gets expensive!

More expensive! Dam. Well over time I will be progressing further into this racing stuff.
April 8th I will be at obrien motorsports getting the rollbar installed. (I need to give you the car afterwards )
I was just talking to Victor from pacino (Spelling?) about their dyno and he suggests you should break in the motor on his dyno. LOL. Same time I break my car on his dyno!
Anyhow probable attend more events so I can see you run the car more often since I have not seen it in action yet!
have fun working that motor.

HI Ian
Glad to hear you are still enthused after all the work and $$ spent on your ride.
It would be cool to see all you have done since I last saw your ride. I hope your car is still going to be street legal! Not sure if I will be attending any meets this year, but I may bump into you again at some race venue. The Drift demo I last saw you at was way cool.
Keep up all the nice work you have done to your Annie.
Cheers

The Paciones told me I could break in the engine on their dyno which is incredibly nice of them. However the car is so loud that I cant even imagine 5 hours of running inside a building! After we get some hours on it we will be tuning on their dyno for sure! I know I will not get the number I got last year on the dyno jet, but at least I will know its accurate.
