Found out its a replica that actually isn't any good;
"4000lbs of steel & Bondo, this was a display Mazda built to pass around the dealerships to generate enthusiasm for the RX-7, (looks like it still works) was last displayed at the Texaco Grand Prix of Houston the late 90's, we had it displayed at Maz-Max until 2009 when it was sold on eBay, the car is so heavy, and the tire/ wheel offset is so huge, anything over 20mph caused the suspension to shake so hard you could not hold on to the steering wheel, it could never be made road worthy, but obviously looks really cool..."

A carbon replica of that bodywork would be cool. Might as well take advantage of their aero R&D.

Might as well put a 20B in to make it worth it...

At 4,000 lbs, you would need an LSx motor in it before it would be really fun. It not being anything original, I wouldn't have any issue with a V8 swap into the shell. Better yet would be getting a complete set of moulds off of the fenders, doors, hatch and hood and swapping it onto a good shell. Then adding everything you need and instantly you have a really cool race car.
I would offer my car up to anyone who wanted to donate the body panels.........

Just looking at the picture, the lower blue colour is more of a royal blue versus a navy blue. Hmmmmmm...... I am going to need to repaint the bottom of my car again. Its all stone chipped anyways.
